I talked about eating food because it is in relation to capping. People capture to earn the reward which is why i used the example of eating food to be rewarded with the taste. Therefore if we increase the reward for capping and/or winning then people would cap more often and try to win more often.
If that means i wont be the only person on offense for 75% of the games i play, then yes pls!!!1 haha, but actually, im not kidding help me back on topic, Overtime! esketit
Losing or drawing matches to the timer is frustrating, and I think this would make matches more interesting. Perhaps this could be implemented as an optional rule for competitive matches that can be switched on like /noend or something if both teams agree to it? +1
If last moment caps are a repeat issue, why not just have an alert pop up with a sound when the timer reaches a 2 minute warning mark (or a 3 minute warning mark)? It doesn't achieve the same effect as this annual suggestion (LOL) but it would at least cut back on the disappointing surprise of a match cutting short during a late capture attempt.
Don't think there should be an overtime. You have a good amount of time to capture again. But I also dislike how the tiebreaker is by kills when the objective is to capture to win, not tie and have the most kills to win. In my opinion, that game should stay as a tie if both teams are equal in caps, just like in competitive ctf.
It isn't about the surprise, but more about the disappointment of not being able to cap in time. In the last minute or so of a game, there's not much point in playing, as most classes won't be able to cap in that time. This just leaves everyone in limbo - the scores are already decided and people are just waiting for the timer to hit 0. If overtime was added, this issue would be significantly reduced. This isn't always the case. Stalemates can end at any time, and often this will not leave enough time for someone to cap again. Not to mention, if a team is 10 seconds away from getting a winning cap, that team is most likely performing better and deserves an opportunity to win. I agree the tiebreaker being by kills is a bad idea, but this off-topic. However, the overtime suggestion would reduce the amount of ties, since both teams would be given more chance to get a winning cap. IS IT TOO LATE TO ADD THIS?
