Personally, I think this would be incredibly overpowered, especially on a full server with tight bunches of players. Plus, I do not even think that it would be possible to code this and even if it was, it would most certainly be a task of ginormous proportions. It isn't that bad of an idea, but, in my opinion anyway, it is simply not practical.

 

I'm pretty sure that planes mod would be kinda of hard to code in.

 

This is impossible without adding new natives... That requires sprout craft which requires mod based material which mc-brawl said they weren't going to do. To answer your question, no a plane that fires missile will not be added.

 

Well just remember for adding in ideas, make sure that the ideas aren't already posted or they are impossible to code in. :V

 

I believe that to introduce something like planes (Such as the ones in Flan's mod for example), the players would need to download the mod to play on the servers. I for one think that MCWar's player count would drop dramatically if a mod was required to play. As I said before, it is not a bad idea, however, it is simply not practical.

There is a way to code it in, its just really hard to do it, but I do agree on the MCWAR's player count drop, that could happen if they can't play if a mod was required to play.

 

There is no way to add items or entities that are not in vanilla minecraft to the game without requiring players to install a client side mod. Period.

Perhaps not a plane since it would be too hard, but I would love it if something new was given as a result of a huge killstreak like 30+ or something.

 

If the server was modded, the server would become very unpopular, as many can't even install optifine, let alone a SMP compatible mod. The reason we do so well is that peope can come on and play call of duty in minecraft without the player needing to install various mods.

 

Actually, this is easily implemented. Just retexture ghasts and have them shoot fireballs at the opposing team.

 

You don't code in a mod, what you said is extremely inaccurate, plus, with a required mod on the server it would decrease populations by a lot because not many people know how to install mods.

 

Yes you 2 are correct about that, but you still can do it by coding in another item, not by mods, it just might be very hard.

 

With OptiFine you can just open up the .jar and press install then choose the OptiFine profile :V

You cannot code in new items for a plugin without adding a mod to the server which will disallow clean clients to join.

You can code different features into items, as we all know. But if you try to code a zombie to have wings, it won't work.
