I was recently accused by someone (no names) of gravedigging when it was only 12 days after the last post, and the subject was still relevant. Is that a gravedig, or not? And if so, how long qualifies a thread as gravedug? I really would like to know.

I would say 2 or 3 weeks at least qualifies as a gravedig. A month definitely is a gravedig.

:open_mouth: Never seen that myself, but I think that those mods are a little, uh, picky.
Maybe the mods locked it because the issue had been resolved and a post there was no longer necessary? I don't know.

I don't know where it is, but it was in off topic. You are aloud to post things that aren't necessary.

I remember that one too. I think the issue or question or whatever had been resolved however, and a mod forgot to lock it. Someone revived it, and then it was locked. Typically if it is a month or 3 weeks DO NOT revive it.

I think a gravedig is just a post that answers a question that was posted at least 3 days before and is already resolved.
    Thats just my opinion

The only reason I say 3 days is because by then the subject has been thoroughly discussed and doesn't really need more input. Unless no one posted on it (which is unlikely) :stuck_out_tongue:

Keep in mind gravedigging does not apply in server ideas or bug reports.

Because I'm asking how long, not what the cause is. And because since I was recently accused of gravedigging but the last post was 12 says ago and the topic was still relevant, I made this thread to see if I was in the wrong and I accidentally did gravedig.
