Why couldn't it have been some other game, like diamond mine?!?!?! YOU RUINED THIS GAME!!!!!! I'm not coming back on this server til it's fixed!

They did it because 1. No one was donating before (True). 2. Wool mix-up is currently a laggy game so they have just stuck with VIP until it is fixed up.

I never lagged on that game. Why didn't they do it to something like Diamond Mine or Red Alert? On those games I lag A TON!!!

Mainly money, these servers costs lots to run every month! No one was donating before because there was no purpose in donating, now ever since the update, lots of players are donating. It gives players more of a reason to donate. I would rather them do this instead of taking the server off of the network.

    This.
If the server don't pay for itself, it is bad. That is what happened to Minestrike. Want that to happen to MCParty too? No? Then deal with it.

MinecraftParty is currently the most popular server of McBrawl. I'm pretty sure they won't because of its popularity. All they have to do is make certain restrictions so it'll force some people to donate to the server.

Yeah, but as it is for now donating is nearly completely useless, but i think this was a good bit on the way.

    To clear up false rumors:
We have made two out of the current fifteen gamemodes available to VIP only.
These gamemodes will not forever be premium only. They will rotate to different games.
We are trying to find the best balance for providing a reason to donate/shop because running all of the McParty servers is begging to get very costly.

You can't have a server with no donor things. I'm suprised they kept McParty running this long without donor items. Two out of fifteen isn't that bad, I still love the servers.

I agree that there has to be something that encourages donators, but I personally don't like the way that they are doing it. There are many people online that can barely pay for internet/power and rarely have time to really have fun, some people come to the server to get rid of stress and such, but some of there favorite mini-games are unavailable to them.Like me, I don't have much money at all, and have allot of depression going on at this moment, and i use to come on MC Party to help with this, but not so much anymore, sure I still play on it, but not as much, because I like to be able just to play what I want for free.I don't want to pay for it, unless it was allot better (No offence intended, nothing on Minecraft is good enough for me to pay for, other than the game itself that is, honestly.) so its kind of unfair. And I am aware that this probably isn't the best place to post this, but I didn't want to create a whole other post that will probably get locked/deleted.

The same minigames won't always be VIP forever, just the newer ones. We have our bills that we need to pay just like you. Most servers will offer some kind of incentive to shop or donate and this is how we decided would be most effective for Party. Remember that just 2 out of the 15 total minigames are VIP.

As others said, the server needs to pay itself. There are lot's of new players everyday, so the player limit is constantly being increased, which causes a bigger cost to host the server. In that case, we needed to give reasons for people to donate, which was chosen to be restricting some gamemodes to donors only. Also, admins work a lot to keep the servers running well, so they also deserve to receive some money for that in the end of the month. There is nothing wrong with that. Just wait till we rotate gamemodes again, like putty said...

It's not player lag, it's server lag.

Just curious, why isn't there a lifetime donation option?
The subscription almost convinced me not to donate, and it convinced a few friends not to
Is there a specific reason a monthly donation is preferred?
