Idea Pearl Harbor

This wouldn't work.
America was COMPLETELY surprised by the attack, so there was no real battle.
More like Japanese planes bombing the defenseless troops.
The attack on Pearl Harbor was a plan to destroy most of America's navy, and a crappy one at that.
If America hadn't came in, hell knows what Hitler would have done.

 

It is very rude to call Japanese people "japs". It is hurtful and rude.

 

I don't know If I'm right, but I thought that the government knew the attack was gonna happen but didn't know when so they didn't inform their civilians or troops at Hawaii. It is really sad. The Japanese military also invaded lots of other countries and island during the attack like the Philippines, China, the Pacific, Guam, and Korea

 

I think people already did and said sorry.

 

We arent talking about history here, we are discussing if pearl harbor would be a suitable Mc-War Map.
I think it doesn't really matter if any players feel offended by this.
Just imagine how many "Nooo, we are Nazis" messages I see on dday?

What?! More then 40 people died in the attack! Here some info I got about the losses at pearl.

Ninety minutes after it began, the attack was over, as 2,386 Americans died (48 - 68 were civilians, most killed by unexploded American anti-aircraft shells landing in civilian areas), a further 1,139 wounded. Eighteen ships were sunk or run aground, including five battleships.

And here is some info about Japanese losses.

Fifty-five Japanese airmen and nine submariners were killed in the action, and one was captured. Of Japan's 414 available planes, 29 were lost during the battle (nine in the first attack wave, 20 in the second), with another 74 damaged by antiaircraft fire from the ground.

I think the map would be really good, maybe to stop the trouble of water you could make the water out of solid blocks. Or keep it too the docks.

 

The radar contact w/ the jap planes were thought to be the expected flights of b17 bombers. Nearly half of the deaths were on the U.S.S Arizona. The U.S.S Ward earlier that day sank a midget sub. The Americans should have noticed that and raised the alarm. Guys, im am a big WWII history person. That is why i joined Team X so i could help make dday2.

Technically, this map could work if the map odea war Ford Island. Just saying.

Anyways, the map doesn't seem like too good of an idea. The Japanese attacked in small fighter planes, and we generally want a nice large thing to serve as the spawn. Using the Japanese aircraft carriers wouldn't work either, since they were farther away at the time (if I'm correct :v).

I just realized something... The community is getting into World War II maps more and more :v

 

The communtiy seems to want more ww2 maps brawler. I agree. I might start planning some ww2 maps. There is a poimt where there needs to be maps related or from all the cod games. Its just more diverse.

 

That would be awesome. be able to go on different ships and shot at japs. just AWESOME

 

Guys, why are you all complaining about the history?
IT DOESNT MATTER.
Pearl Harbor is just the background, the main goal is to make a funny, fair map.

 

Not millions of citizens, about 200k I believe. every citizen of Japan was told to kill themselves and not be captured at all costs, and kill as many american soldiers as possible while doing it, which threatened the loss of american soldiers. Rushing the mainland of Japan would've ended with more deaths than the nukes dropped did. Also, dropping the nukes was a ridiculous decision because it had nothing to do with the pacific war, but was done to stop Soviet expansion. The Japanese said they would forfeit if they could keep their emperor, and we refused. But, at the end of the war we let them keep the emperor anyway.

 

This is about an idea for a World War II map, not a history lesson. Please, get back on topic with whether it would be good or not.
