Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and Teamspeak? -

I have recently been quite active on MC-War, due to the fact that I only recently discovered this server.
As for the forums, I'm currently what you would describe as a lurker. I spend numerous hours on a daily basis browsing and perusing the forums, however I seldom post. I do plan on addressing this issue immediately.

Experience with Minecraft and Moderating:

Back in 2011, I joined a small community server named Xeongaming. Now remember that back in the day, the common Minecraft multiplayer experience came in the form of Minecraft Classic. This server (Which later changed its name to DeltaGamers) specialized in two gamemodes. Zombie Infection, and Lava Survival.
The server began as a minuscule group of enthused players but grew rapidly in numbers until hundreds of people began to flood the servers. It was at this point that I was appointed the position of Operator (Moderator). This would have been in February of that year I believe.
After a short while I was promoted to VetOp (One rank below Owner). As a 15 year old at the time, I truly believe that this experience, (or even opportunity, if you wish to call it that, as I certainly do) assisted in shaping and manipulating my perception of authority. what it means to find yourself in a position of power. Anyway, i'm rambling on here, so let's move on.

I was a Junior Moderator for a short while on mcau.org towards the latter months of last year, which is Australia's largest survival server with a couple of thousands slots. I was fairly well known and admired by many new players whom I assisted on numerous occasions.

I just noticed that this question asks for experience with Minecraft in general, and not just moderating. I apologize if I've misinterpreted this, but I'll continue anyway.

As you may or may not be aware, I'm quite a prevalent map builder for servers with a Call of Duty themed approach to mini-games, much like this one. I specialize in re-creating Call of Duty maps and have been doing so since November of last year.
I have completed 10 maps as of last week, however I am also working particularly hard on 2 more builds as we speak. One of them being a map from Call of Duty: Ghosts.
I believe that I have built the second most number of Call of duty maps in the Minecraft Universe behind N11ck, which, (without tooting my own horn) is quite an achievement in itself.

How do others feel about you on the server?
To be completely honest, I'm not sure that many people even know of me on these servers, besides those who've heard of me through my builds. I aim to change that drastically through making connections. Something I've done quite successfully on other servers.

What do you feel that you will provide to the server?

Well, let's start with the obvious.
I believe that I am capable of ensuring that all rules and policies issued by the Admins or not only enforced, but enforced efficiently, and fairly. Next, I aim to treat everybody equally. As I stated in an earlier question, I've learnt the true definition of authority. Even though somebody has obtained greater 'powers' than another,they are still equal at the core. I like to sum it up as "Character surmounts Rank." This is effectively me acknowledging that I would not abuse my responsibilities.

Now on to the not so obvious.

As I stated above, I am a map builder who specializes in Call of duty maps.
I would be more than happy to take requests from the community to build any Call of Duty map that has yet to be re-created. I also feel as though I could involve the community in building maps themselves to submit to the forums, whether that come in the form of assistance, advice or anything in between.

Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player is properly dealt with?

I firmly believe in the WKB system of moderating. That stands for Warn, Kick, Ban.
Whether it was done accidentally, or purposely, I would still firstly warn them of the punishments which can result from OOMing, and ask politely for them to return to the map. If this was ignored, I was have to kick them.
If they persisted, I would ensure that I had the right to do so, and then I would issue a temporary ban.

Other:

Having read a few other submissions, I noticed them mention grammar in this section, so I will do the same.
I view grammar as one of the most important tools on the internet when expressing yourself. Unlike real life, the internet do not receive the benefit of vocal tone and facial expressions when communicating with you. This means that grammar is the ONLY way in which you can be perceived. It is for this reason that I take grammar extremely seriously. Having said this, I'm sure there are a couple of typos that I've missed.


Do you realize if you are not respectful and helpful towards the players you will be demoted? - I most certainly do.
Do you know all the rules, plugins, and expectations? - Yes.

I've watched countless hours of gameplay on Youtube to the point that I've now memorized every nook and cranny of the map. It's extremely difficult, but I'm always up for a challenge!

Yeah, I'm aware that lack of playtime is my Kryptonite, if you will. I plan to jump on the servers on a daily basis and crank that playtime up pronto.
