Disable Chat In The Hub!

    Alright, I will go ahead and get to the main point.
    We either need that plugin for the hub to prevent advertising/spamming now or just to disable chat until then.
    The pictures here were just 5 minutes in the hub.

    However, me and brawler got payback.
    We spammed mcbrawl.com on their server.
    It was actually pretty fun if you think about it!

    They banned me, then unbanned me. It was pretty funny C:

    But this is needed, there are spammers and advertisers everywhere. When I contacted an admin, they ignored me and did not come on. (probably AFK :V)
    The plugin won't be done right away, if I'm correct, so disabling chat would be the easiest thing to do.

    Thing is, the admins don't want a public plugin, they want a smaller private plugin. So we're gonna have to wait :L

    He means that chat should be temporarily disabled while we're waiting for a filter plugin.

    I'm not so sure on disabling chat all together, but perhaps a series of plugins to have it heavily filtered would do the trick. Many people have conversations on the HUB, so it would be unfair to remove chat completely, but as I said, having it heavily filtered with chat management plugins is another alternative.

    What he's trying to say is that until the chat filter is done, it should be removed. Not a bad idea, in my opinion.

    Ahhh I see, thanks for clearing that up.
    And well if you put it that way, it doesn't sound like a bad idea. Depending on how long it will be before the chat filter is ready.

    That's pretty immature, but okay.
    You can minimize chat until the plugin comes, then you won't have to worry about spammers.

    In one day (this is just when I log on), I reported four different advertisers in the hub. Frankly, it has grown to be quite annoying. I agree, we definitely need a spam/advertisement blocker on the hub. It's simply getting out of hand.
