    Fill the entire room with lava. It won't do much but it will be annoying to clear out. :v

    What's the point of making a beacon? It needs to be exposed to skylight to actually receive a perk. That thing will give you away v:

    You can temporarily set up a beacon out in the wilderness to mine. If you have haste 2 and a efficiency V diamond pick, you can instantly break stone. You just mine around the place with the beacon effect and you can get all the resources you need efficiently. After you are done, you just take down the beacon and set up another mine. I assure you that this mining technique is calming and effective; however, it's resource intense :V
