I've been here for a good month, but I can't be active everyday, so I haven't prestiged yet. Why am I a noob? Noob is short for Newbie which regards a new player. I am technically speaking, not the noobiest camper on the block, yet since I haven't prestiged, I'm a noob. Why? What is the point of this immature over-usage of this term? And why does it make for the first notion of full-out racism I have ever seen in gaming? I mean sure, if your a new player you'll be ignored for the most part, but I have never seen something like this get this far. There is almost full-out racism against the non-prestiged. Don't believe me? Though we mostly outnumber the prestigers and donors, we aren't aloud in almost all clans, are ignored by nearly all pristegers, and are constantly battered with "noob", which I have already spoken out as a misused term. I tell people jokingly to join the clan I inherited? "No way your a -31 noob". I try to communicate with a member of TRA? "Noob jackson" AFTER I KILLED HIM 3 TIMES, IN 3 1V1 MATCHES. And I say, "What? I just killed you three times???", his response is, "Your a noob you havnt prestiged" "Ive killed ryan" (Who's ryan?) anyways, are you sensing a pattern yet? You should be, these are three full blown examples of mistreatment, especially regarding the third answer, where simple conversation is overrun by the disrespect shown to my people, the "noobs". Are you not convinced yet? Wow, I thought I was being persuasive, like the Ghandi of gaming or something. Put it this way, we are isolated (clans) for our stats, mistreated for our levels, and ignored for the colour of our tag. Is this all really necessary? So, a message to all you immature jerks out there who consider any non-prestige a noob...

WE ALREADY HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOUR OP WEAPONS, CLAN RESTRICTIONS, AND BEING A NEW PLAYER ITSELF. THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR, AND FOR LONG ENOUGH, SO PLEASE PUT DOWN YOUR BULLS**T AND TREAT US LIKE THE PEOPLE WE ARE.

I read it. I always try to be nice to everyone, regardless of level or stats. I judge on actions. We were all -31 at one point, so we understand. IT is just that the 31+ people usually talk to other 31+ because they are regulars. When two people are regulars, they have a better chance of becoming friends because they will see each other more often. Players usually like to talk with there friends and clans mainly. When you are below 31, you might not get noticed. But once you hit it, people might learn your name. I have no idea why it is like that. I wish it was different, but it probably won't change. Make friends is probably your best bet. Forums activity helps A LOT too.

Thank you for reading the whole thing.
As much as that may be true (I can get super rage-y), it's not completely about that. It's about the face that people are often judged by their level regardless of their level, and that just bothers me a little.Yes, at first this post was about my epic rage in the bowels of my soul over the term "noob", but I feel like as I went on, it became about more than just myself.

I also dislike the term "noob" (I am called it even though I am not).
If someone is new, people should try to help them, not try to put them down because of their inexperience

To be honest i'm glad someone spoke up, I do not call someone a noob unless they're using an OP donor gun such as ray gun, or just camping around a corner with a model. That is my definition of a noob, however, I rarely call someone out on it unless they're just absolutely getting on my nerves. I do not judge on level, I judge on skill, not a number set.
Hell I remember recruiting a few members into HACK at the bare minimum of 25+, they're damn good now.
My girlfriend kicks ass now, I remember when she was still camping around with the dragunov.

I pay close attention to the 31- crowd, I look for skilled people, and unless they're just using absolutely 0.01% of their skill, they're not nooby in my eyes.

I never call someone a noob since it dosen't affect anything, it's just a waste of 0,1 seconds of your life typing it. ._. For example: A lot of people call eachother "iso noob" and does it affect them? No, they just use it even more just to piss 'em off :V

Whenever someone calls me a noob, I screenshoot it and keep it in my screenshots folder of over 3,500 freaking files.

Noob = Novice, a new player.

Basically, if you're new and they call you a noob, just say: "You figured that out all by yourself? WHOA"

Or kill them with the knife even though they have the raygun and Python :v

I was never called a noob, but that was when the community was a lot smaller. For some reason people said I was good even though there were people who were better than me :V

The community has grown a lot since the release of new servers like Party and PvP, and since the updates of War that added new guns and maps, as well as tools and features. It's also distanced itself a lot. That sucks v:
