There goes my idea

So my usual schtick on survival servers is this: the first thing to do is get 3 ender pearls; enough to glitch through bedrock and get on top of the nether to make a base. Considering the unusually bad luck finding endermen I've been having, it took more time than I would have liked in order to get 3 pearls. Once I had them, I tunneled up to the top of the nether and threw them straight at the ceiling. To my despair, I found that ender pearls couldn't be thrown when a block was within reach distance. So I tried to start from a couple blocks down, but when your head glitches into a block you are technically targeting it, so I could go no farther and fell back down. I found a new method on the internet involving minecarts and rails and ladders. It took ages to find a suitable spot, and the consistency of the technique's success is quite shaky, but I was able to get it so my head stuck above the bedrock, however I kept going back down and I was unable to jump to clear the final block and get above. Out of ender pearls, I returned to the Overworld to find more. I got lucky and found one almost immediately, and headed back to my spot. I was able to get back to the glitchy head-above-the-bedrock point, and once there, I threw the pearl at an upwards angle as to not target a block. It sailed over about 10 blocks before landing. I had success in my mind and jubilance in my heart. And when I use past tense for that, it is for a reason. As soon as the pearl touched down, I took the 2 hearts of fall damage. But then, in the bottom left of my screen, I saw the dreaded message:

YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER THIS AREA
Heart stricken by the cold hand of defeat, I trudged back to my base, logged off, and made this post.

DISCLAIMER: Before someone goes off on me for glitching, I have even shown admins my bases above the nether. They proceed to make their own bases above the nether. Other people can get up there too, it's not that hard, and it says nothing about it in the rules >:V

 

Actually, Shy bought them. We are in the same team you know... :v

And this thread is to illustrate my sadness at the fact that I cannot build my base above the nether :'(

Maybe you should do the moral thing and cleanse the server by killing him with your own full prot 4?
