Ok, recently there has been a boat load of how too's and guide's lately. I'm not sure what is really triggering this but every time I click on discussion there seem's to be a new guide on something. Don't get me wrong I like guide's and tutorial's now and then but this is getting a little bit out of hand with every thread being about a tutorial or guide. So can we just chill on the guides for a bit please? Thanks.

When I made my first guide, it started to grow the influence of people (in my prospective, don't judge meh) to make more guides. Later on I made 2 more guides and that sparked people to make more guides.

So it was you who started this epidemic. That's fine I'm just surprised about how many guides there are.

This has also been on my mind recently. I guess we just have a lot of players who want to help out
I love to see new guides being written, especially when it is on an original topic, and a guide was needed.
I don't like to see them when they are replicas of current guides, and aren't necessary.

    You're complaining about guides?
I don't see why anyone would complain about that.

Well, the first guides that were made people make guides but that didn't last long, later on when I made the guide, it gave people ideas. So technically yes I kinda of did spark it :stuck_out_tongue:

Guides are great, I like to see them. But in some cases they are getting repetitive and in some cases, unnecessary.

Which is why the helpful ones are pinned, and others are left alone.

But if some are on very similar topics, is that not similar to replicating another post, in which case the thread would be locked?

Off topic: I love my new profile pic
On topic: I do agree there have been an unnecessary amount of guides. I'm surprised by it as well.

Its good to see people in the community want to help out and bring new ideas.
It's only when they start making guides about common knowledge or very short and non-descriptive guides that they aren't appreciated

It's quite annoying to see the same guide for everything, need to make something exceptional people. Not a boring guide about how to use the skullcrusher or the iso
