I think that a solid 250+ posts can be considered active.

I don't think you are really considered 'active' until you have 300+ posts. This shows your dedication the the forums, and that you are willing to put in the extra effort.

 

300 is an active member in my opinion.

I'll vote for 250. It is quarter-thousand, which is a good number. 300 might get pretty much, however, I wanna see active people instead of inactive Mc-War mods who get demoted cuz of inactivity, like rocker or bmanswan

 

Posts do not matter, it really matters how active the user is, like how many times they post each day.

 

What matters to me more is how helpful the posts are. Look at robrox, he has 248 messages, and would you say yes to his application?

 

Very good point. You could have 1000 posts, but if they aren't helpful, why even post? In my opinion, it's based off your post count, how helpful they are, and how often you post a day.

 

At least 300+ messages, maybe even more. But they have to be good, quality posts, not when people spam the forums for a week, trying to get their post count up so they can make a mod app.

 

Very true, however, even if a player writes the most helpful/useful posts ever written, if they don't have, say, 100 posts, at the very least, It doesn't look great.

250 shows that you're commited, but 300 shows that you're really active.

 

It depends on the time you have beenon the forums.

 

250 posts is good for me. Oh, and spamming messages on the forums does not count as active to me. Legit posts that are on topic or helpful is what I want to see.

 

I don't count activity by posts, I count it by how frequently you post. Post count just seems like a bad way to measure forum activity. On average, if you post at least 3-4 times a day, you're active on the forums.

 

I agree. Someone could spam 100 posts and then be inactive forever.

 

Depends.
If I see a new member join and post 10+ messages a day, as opposed to 2 or 3 as most new members do, I'd consider them active.
If someone joined in September and has posted only a few messages a week, they can have 250 posts and I wouldn't consider them active.
It depends on how often you post, but generally, I consider 150-200 posts active.
