Can I Get Banned For World-Downloader Mod Admins Please Read

I'm no admin or mod, but i'm almost sure you can't. It wouldn't give you an advantage really other than being able to study the maps... which would give you a better understanding of good spots, and strategies. So no I don't think you could, but I applaud you asking before actually using it. Still I would wait for a mod/admin reply.

 

I think you are fine. HEY! I got an idea! Why don't you check for map glitches why you are checking the maps. Would do the server a good favor, and if you do get banned, you have a VERY good reason that just about everyone will agree with if you report the map glitches.

 

I highly doubt it.
Many of the maps are taken from PMC, anyways...
But don't take my word for it.

I don't see anything wrong with this mod. The only advantage I can see, is being able to understand the map better, which is only useful in infect. And you can study maps in game anyway. Yea, you can't study the whole map. But at some times of the day, there are no players on a few of the servers (When I say "No" I mean exactly 0). You can study them then. I bet a lot of people use the mod anyway, since it doesn't affect regular games. But I'd still wait for an admins response.

 

This is OK because you are aloud to download the maps to look at them

 

If you want the maps, you can easily download them from N1ck or the other creators. If you want the spawn as map, you have to ask Colonel_Chris, because it was his idea.

 

I think that to check for bugs in maps he would want to download the server's version of the map, that have already been changed many times and is different from the N1ck ones. If this is not the reason he wants the maps he can download it from PMC. I'm not an admin, but I think there must be no problem with this since it doesn't give an advantage for you over other players. If an admin allow it, I may even use it to check for bugs and fix the maps.

 

He can search easter eggs at spawn with wdl in singleplayer

 

Personally I don't see how this would be breaking one of the server's rules. I think you will be safe to do so.
