Congratulations. From the amount of redstone you used, it doesn't look too hard, which surprised me. But why do you have the bow and arrow?

They use plugins, not command blocks.

 

That's not how the coding works... for this to happen he has to write a whole list of java codes to make everything else that comes in smoke monster it's harder then you think it is.

Minecraft is quickly getting more features. Eventually, it could have a lot of plugin features. However, plugins are more efficient.

 

You can't do everything we can do with plugins.

 

This. Even if you could, it would cause pointless work. I bet making turrets are possible, but probably not guns. (not yet)

 

Although you can make it with redstone, we use a plugin to do it.

 

Because to make the games, rounds, etc. we would have to make complicated redstone creations saying when to stop the explosions (Smoke Monster), when to stop spawning chickens (Putty slaughter game), etc. It would be much easier to spawn in an explosion entity that goes around in random patterns and simply sends a person up to the spectator area without killing them when you have a plugin. With a command block, it just makes the thing complicated. In Horse Race, there's also the part that doesn't let you jump with a horse, makes you stay on the horse, unable to get off, etc. It is much easier to do it using lines of code than it is to use redstone, which when implemented in the server, creates lag and complicated redstone.

 

I have coded javaplugins before (not very complex). All our servers run off of plugins, it is just easier and more professional. Javaplugins also allow us to do more things that redstone cant do, like make it spin around and when it hits someone they get out.

 

How will you check if someone is hit, then determine first place?

You seem confused about the difference between a bukkit plugin and a javaplugin. Of course the plugins are coded in java..
