Idea Locking Chests.

    After being raided on the PVP server 4 times, I thought of a good implement to the server. Locks for chests. The idea is simple; you could either get the [Lockette] Plugin. The idea for the Lockette Plugin is that you need a sign, and obviously, a chest. You put a sign on the chest saying: [Private] Then exit out. It will rename the sign: [Private] Then your name under it. Now, no one can enter your chest. Unless you say /lockette 3 [other person's name.] And then /lockette 4 [name of person.] I think it'd be a great addition, because of all the Xray glitchers finding your underground house, or hidden chests.     My tip, fake underground base. Have only one trapped chest (well large chest). Then load it up with TNT. Some good payback to X-ray guys.
    But on topic, as grey said, that would completely ruin the point of raiding. I feel you on how much you hate X-rays. My solution is too make a decent sized room underground, enough too hold a good amount of chests. If possible, surround the room with obsidian. Then, what you want to do is mine out one block space from the outside. (Add a warp inside the room). Now you should pretty much have a box. Surround the box entirely with lava. I believe X-rays can not see through lava, but I have never downloaded one pack before. Downsides are that you have to warp in and out, and you can not expand the room at all.

    My suggestion is that you surround your base certain ores (non-valuable ores, for example, coal) so X-Rayers will only see the ore, and the chance is they won't dig down to mine it, considering it's just some coal.

    bad Idea of a lock chest plugin. It would make the whole point of raiding obsolete as others have said too

    Locked Chests = Fun Ruined. It's a survival server, you shouldn't be able to protect your stuff with a plugin. If you're being raided so often, try to go a little ways out, not just 1000-2000 blocks out from spawn.

    I think this is pretty conclusive:
    • Locking chests, takes the ability to raid away. That is what I like about the Teams plugin as oppose to the like of factions, it is far easier to raid, making it a lot more enjoyable.

    This isn't supposed to be that similar to the factions server. If you get raided, than tough luck. The pvp server is supposed to be hardcore.
