    Yeah, so I'll just cut to the chase here

    How do I get it to use more of the given memory, and how to I get it to allocate more?

    P.S. I'm on a mac

    To make the game use more, you just need to blow up a world or something. To allocate more memory to the game, go to the launcher create a profile, uncheck the box marked JVM arguments and type -Xmx#G or -Xmx#G -Xmx#G , where # is the number of GB you want to allocate.

    I already gave it four gigabytes in the launcher, but it only uses an average of 100 megabytes, and allocates like 300. My question is how to get it to use and allocate more than that.

    Look on Internet, how to allocate more ram for mac, however, it auto-located it for me.
