[MC-War Map] Alleyville

    General Info:
    Hey everyone, qqmaster1 here. So, I was looking through my world files and found this map. I had made it when I first joined the servers and nobody knew me. The whole reason I joined the forums was originally to post this map, however I never did and instead got sidetracked by Warlog (wasn't very good), another one of my maps. I eventually forgot about this one and moved on. Now comes the time when I have looked back at it. Now, I think it could be a good map with a couple of tweaks. So, I edited some things and here I am, done. Anyways, find the map's screenshots here, here, and here. I do advise you to actually download the map, for there is a lot of things images can cover, but not all.

    The Map contains two major heat-points with lots of cover, then little alleyways near the teams' spawns. This makes it so in FFA the teams will be condensed towards the Mall and the main heatpoint. There they can seek shelter and cover behind fences and buildings. Some will go in the less obvious, cramped (relatively) alleyways. There the players take on individual fights and lead to more interesting game play. They can also flank the other team sitting on their side of the heat-point and turn the tables. Or, they could continue on the path and find a sneaky way to the flag.

    Although it looks small, this map has many small paths. They may be behind houses or underground, but I assure you they are there. But, I have made sure that nobody can camp there in Infect without being seen. Besides, when there are a lot of infect and one person is camping, they will find every single nook and cranny, trust me.

    All of this concludes why I would like this map to be added. The map features long ranged areas snipers, corners for shotguns, and medium stretches for automatics. Lots of pathways also makes for interesting game play, flanking and tactics will always win out on this map. Also, the map is medium-sized and well detailed. In all, this map is taking around 40 hours and running.

    P.S. If you vote no (or maybe) could you please tell me why?

    Technical Stuff and Download:
    [Gamemodes] Capture the Flag, FFA, Team Death Match, Gungame, and Infect.
    [Players] Although I am not completely sure about this, I think 20-30 players would fit comfortably in this map. However, I do not know much about the system, so if this is added a manual override of what you think would be reasonable should be added (if necessary).

    [Spawns & Other] The spawns are shown in the screenshots, and if you end up somewhere mysterious in the flat world the last picture in the image album has coordinates.
    [Download] The download is found here. I advise you to download the map and check around, for images don't really capture all the action.

    Well, that about makes a conclusion for this map. Feel free to comment feedback or general concerns.

    Nice so far. Keep working on it. Is it supposed to be a smaller map? I was thinking that you would build it up more, since there's an OOM right there which I thought was an incomplete part.

    Yeah, in general the maps is smaller than usual. As far as the OOM your talking about, everything will be patched up soon. Thanks for the feedback!

    Good start so far. However, Putty doesn't add that many maps if it isn't from CoD. I'll vote it as a maybe.

    Looks good, but the final product has to be much bigger than that. Keep that in mind and your'e golden.

    Epic map, qq! Although they're similar, I like this better than the map, Crossfire! I hope it gets implemented!

    Thanks Flub! To be honest, I actually based this map off of Crossfire and Seatown. I tried to implement heat points that had a similar layout to specific maps as well.

    What is a "heat point"? Is that like the closest point where the two teams meet?

    Basically, yeah. As you said, it is the closest point where the two teams meet and usually is this place that the two teams bolt for. There is a lot of cover for a vast amount of people. If you take control of a heat point, then you get forced into the other teams smaller paths. However, those are easier for the other team to defend. The one I put was only the main one, there are others too.

    I like it, but it looks, "tight" Small alleys, which on server 1 would make it way to hectic. Try to spread it out more. Other than that, add just a little more detail :smile:

    This map was designed for about 25 people, and that is less than the amount of people that play on server 1. The map is designed a little bit for shotguns, but since the alley-ways have some length to them automatics can take them out. Also, there are lots of alley-ways, so if someone is camping one person could flank, come around the other side, and shoot them easily. In all, I tried to put a lot of detail. All the houses have decorations in them, and although the buildings' exteriors look bland, if I added detail they would look bad (aesthetically cramped, wouldn't fit to the scaling of the buildings).
    One of the last, but UPDATE
    -Built some more houses
    -Made more paths to places
    -Fixed some O.O.M.* places
    -Completed the map
