How Reloading Should Work

    The only guns that take 4+ seconds to reload are LMG's... and the Barrett. Do we have any LMG's in MCWar? Not yet. So, why do guns in MCWar take so long to reload? Maybe it's because of realism, but even then, a man that knows his weapon can reload in a short amount of time.

    What I have in mind is that all the weapons have their reload times decreased, except for the shotguns and revolvers. For those, I have a whole other thread, here: https://www.brawl.com/threads/shotgun-reloading.90/

    So, you might think: That's what Sleight of Hand of for, you dingbat! Well, I do have an objection. In CoD, the reload times are like mentioned, at least half of what they currently are in MCWar (most guns). So, in reality, Sleight of Hand is sort of a rip-off, since you are actually reloading at CoD's standard. Also, Prestige guns don't have to be more powerful just my damage; you can make the guns have Sleight of Hand-like times, so SoH isn't really needed for those weapons

    I made this list based on the info on the guns from the CoD Wiki. As mentioned before, you can decrease the Prestige gun times to whatever, but I have provided a base.

    M16
    2-sec loaded, 2.5 unloaded

    M4A1
    2-sec reload, 2.5 unloaded

    AK-47
    2.5-sec loaded, 3 unloaded

    Famas
    2.5-sec loaded, 3 unloaded

    Lamentation
    2.5-sec loaded, 3 unloaded (it's a bigger mag, after all

    Skullcrusher
    2-sec loaded, 2.5 unloaded

    AA-12
    2.5-sec loaded, 3 unloaded

    L118A
    3-sec loaded, 4.5 unloaded

    Dragunov
    2.5 loaded, 3 unloaded

    Barrett
    4-sec loaded, 4.5 unloaded

    MSR
    2.5-sec loaded, 4 unloaded

    Isolator
    2.5-sec loaded, 3 unloaded OR 2-sec unloaded, 2.5 unloaded (YOU decide)

    Disassembler
    3-sec loaded, 4 unloaded

    USP
    1.5-sec loaded, 2 unloaded

    M9
    1.5-sec loaded, 2 unloaded

    Deagle
    2-sec, whether loaded or unloaded


    Also, if any owners or admins read this, please tell me if you could incorporate a characteristic that CoD fails to represent correctly: When you reload a mag-feed weapon and it's not empty yet, there should be another bullet still in the chamber (of the gun). So, when you put another mag in, it should have an extra bullet. For example, let's say I fire 20 rounds out of my M4A1. I have 9 bullets in the mag, plus one that is "in the gun". However, if I reload and stick another mag in, I should have 31, not 30 rounds.

    In addition, it'd be cool if you could slightly increase the time to reload a weapon that has an unloaded, like how it is in CoD.

    There is now way that the Barret should have a longer reloading time than the isolator. It should be switched. For the only sniper to guarantee a osk, it needs that little nerf to prevent it from being too op.

    Well, I mean no offense whatsoever, but this server is not CoD; it's a very unusual spinoff. Higher ranks get better equipment, and that's how MCWar is structured. In CoD, the Barrett is an OSK with 10 freaking bullets in a mag. This is not CoD. This is MCWar. It's a whole other world.

    But, your point is made. I will also link my Sniper thread, showing how that will work in conjunction with this.

    I like this. If it's closer to CoD and shorter reloading time on iso, then I think it should be implemented

    How about having it so that there is a base time for each bullet to be loaded into the gun? More bullets, longer it takes to reload.

    The only reason if you want to use the dissambler is so you can shot rly fast if u do a 3-sec loaded time it is just like the dragonuv!

    Um. For guns with a magazine, that is not the case. For shotguns and revolvers, that'd make sense. I have another thread on that, which is in my main post.
    Um. The Dragunov shoots faster than the Disassembler.

    Is that right? Weird considering it's a Pack-a-Punched version of the Dragunov, so you'd expect it to have the same firerate.

    The reason many of the mechanics in MC-War are not similar to COD is balance.
    MC-War's plugins are nearly as customizable as COD (the gun accuracy stays the same even after spraying an entire clip), so they need to nerf other things.
    Those "other things" happen to be reload times.

    You should of added a pole as this needs to be seen by all of the community and its gun based gamemodes.

    there is another characteristic that you left out. in CoD, when you reload guns, you have to keep that gun in your hand, and not just press Q and use your secondary. not saying that i dont like this functionality, it has kept me alive at least a dozen times. just thinking that it might be more realistic.

    you too? back when the barret was THE op gun and you couldnt wait to get to level 16? and once you got there, you thought, screw leveling up i love the barret!

    True, true. I can't see how it can be avoided, though. I mean, maybe extensive coding might do it, but it seems harder to code than even the guns themselves!

    Disable shooting for the other gun when your main one is being reloaded.
