Greeting New Members

Hello everyone, Random Citizen here. I suggest that we all start greeting our new members. There are numerous ways to help our community. Posting bug reports, reporting rule breakers, and suggesting ideas are just a few ways anyone can help out. One way to help our community, a way that I believe is somewhat overlooked, is to help our new members out. When I say helping our new members out, I mean either going on their profile to greet them leave them a tip, or doing similarly on their intro. This could be the easiest and least time consuming way to help our community. Anyone can make a difference and anyone can help. Here is what I do. Whenever I get on the forums, I immediately scroll down to where it says forum statistics. I then find where it says latest member and go to the new member's profile page. I then leave this message on their profile:

Hello (name of the member)! Make sure to read the rules here. https://www.brawl.com/threads/40/ Also, feel free to introduce yourself if you want to. You can do this here. https://www.brawl.com/forums/85/ I hope I see you around! Have a great time on the forums!

Can you see how easy this is? I have this written down on a text document so I can easily copy it. All I have to do from there is press control v (the shortcut for paste for everyone who does not know this) and leave the comment on the new member's profile. This literally takes all of ten seconds to do and it can be very helpful. I strongly encourage everyone reading this to create their own greeting for new members. When it comes to posting on people's intros I do not have a specific greeting for them since there are very few new members who actually post an intro compared to the relatively large number of members who join every day. I challenge everyone who reads this to try to leave a comment on every new members profile they see for a week. Simply create your own greeting and post it every chance you get. Even if only one person begins to do this as a result of reading this thread, I will consider posting it worthwhile. Thank you for taking the time to read this. So, are any of you considering greeting them. Could you at least try to for a week?

 

Try greeting them on their profile page before they even post an intro.

 

I'm still waiting for the time when I go to post on a new members profile and there are two or three other users that have greeted him before me. That would be the goal of this thread.
