They were bought and posted online for the viewing of others. If you look up the FBI piracy agency policy you'll see that cases like these are most of the time allowed AS LONG AS: 1, it isn't burned to a CD for resale. 2, It isn't burned to a CD for a gift/present. 3, The website that has it, doesn't charge to view it, and etc.

    This can't be legal...
They still have copyright laws protecting those, and even though you credited then, that does not note them in the proper way.
Also, whats in the "etc." that you mentioned?
Also, what makes you think that the website is legal?

You are missing a huge chunk of pirating laws.

"The practice of labelling the infringement of exclusive rights in creative works as "piracy" predates statutory copyright law. Prior to the Statute of Anne in 1710, the Stationers' Company of London in 1557 received a Royal Charter giving the company a monopoly on publication and tasking it with enforcing the charter. Those who violated the charter were labelled pirates as early as 1603.[6] The term "piracy" has been used to refer to the unauthorized copying, distribution and selling of works in copyright."

This means if they are distributing this movie for free without the producers permission, it's still pirating. It may be free but think about the producers.

"Does piracy really hurt the movie industry?
We’re reminded every weekend how well the box office is doing. However, box office is just one aspect of our business. For years, home video has been a bigger piece. Our studios have relied heavily on the success of their films in the distribution chain after a film is released in the theater. We know that piracy is cutting into those profits, and when those profits are reduced, the studios have fewer dollars to invest in movies, and when there is less money to invest they make fewer movies and the diversity and variety of films we love become more limited.

More importantly, if we’re making fewer movies, then fewer people will be able to make their living working on movies. We’ve also seen the impact of piracy on video stores — we’ve seen countless examples of video stores struggling to stay afloat because people are peddling DVDs of movies that are still in theatrical release right in front of these legitimate operations and stealing their business. It simply becomes a struggle to compete"

Already saw both movies. I don't feel like viewing them again. However, to anyone who missed it, I can tell they'll click the links immediately.

The Simpsons even had an entire episode making fun of the penalties of pirating movies. No joke. When Bart was explaining how to pirate the video, FOX had a message saying how illegal it was and they would distract your attention with peaceful music. Do not do this, or even watch it. Give respect to the people who worked hard on their movie, and give them a little money to help them out.
