MC-War Etiquette

    I have been doing some experimentation and I have found that when somebody kills you with a difficult or skilled shot i.e. a great snipe across the map, if you compliment them on it, instead of raging or calling hacks on them, they are far more likely to compliment you back.

    A good example of this is a player named messicat1. I was playing on server 6 and, if you'll excuse me saying this, he is a fair bit below my skill level. I killed him up to five times in a single game, but he did not rage or saying anything unkind. Then when he at last killed me, I complimented him on the good shot. I have seen him several times since then and whenever we kill each other, we will always be nice and congratulate each other.

    I hope this little story has helped people understand that if you just say something simple and nice like 'great shot!', it can make all the difference. And if you enjoy receiving compliments about your skill level, it is important to give as good as you get.

    This should also go for WarZ, if someone kills you then just accept it and be kind. You are going to get a much better reputation if you are nice to other players, and admit when you have been beaten.

    This is something that I have had an issue with for a while, thank you for addressing this issue.
    To all you people out there: Listen to this man, he knows what he is talking about. Be nice to others and people will respect you.

    This issue also goes hand in hand with people calling other people noobs for using certain guns. Instead of calling someone a ray noob who just got the ray gun and is not particularly good with it, congratulate them on their purchase, or even just don't say anything at all.

    Once I got killed by a team of two while I had full diamond. Instead of raging, I said that they were really good and had great aim. They said thanks and said that was the first time someone complemented them.

    I agree with this as it's much better than raging or calling them out for hacks.
    Unless of course they do hack.
    Then report them with proof.

    If people just stopped calling people "Noobs" in the first place, then we would have a much better, and more caring community. No-one on McBrawl is a "noob", everyone has their own personal skill level. If it is not as high as your own then it does not mean that they are nooby.
    Exactly my point. I always congratulate people when they kill me (which happens a lot), this has gotten me a good reputation on WarZ.

    And I bet that when those two eventually died, they too were gracious. Compliment a person and they are more likely to do the same. I was once attacked by a team of three, and I killed one of them. He complimented the headshot as it was a fairly skilled one, but he teleported back and he and his teammates killed me. I still would've been gracious, but I was far more inclined to compliment them, considering the player I killed complimented me in the first place.

    This thread should have been made a long time ago. It really brings out the essence of what Mc-War is really about. It is about the fun you have playing the game, not winning or getting kills.

    Yes, SB4 is ment to be moar of a 31+ and handpick clan. I chose messicat1 to go in to SB4 since of his politeness and kindness. Instead of spamming can i join Sb4? He msged me may i join SB4. So i let him in.

    I got to hand it to Messicat. That takes a lot of skill not to rage after being killed 5 times.

    Compliments are a lot better than raging or accusing of hacks. It just makes you look good. But you still need to watch for hackers :V
