What are you guys doing about 1.8 update for minecaft

McWar is planning a 2.0 release with SMGs, classes and killsrteaks, however I am not sure if it was meant for 1.8

 

It was meant I think since 1.6.2. I think we would have the smg update by now if Orange's computer never broke.

 

Dang....I wish he could leak something on test server ;_;

 

We're actually supposed to be getting this MASSIVE update with SMGs, bug fixes, new scorestreaks, and sh*t. But it's been postponed, and we are currently waiting for a release date of this "2.0 update." I'm sure we'll have it before 1.9 at most though.

Back in 1.6.2 they were still working on the mc-war client. :V

 

They abandoned it around 1.5 actually.

They didn't abandon it until like 1.6.3 because all of the new updates caused them not to be able to keep up, so no work could be done on it.

 

Actually, orange said it was abandoned around the time of 1.4.7-1.5.2.

 

The update should take like a couple of days, maybe a couple of weeks or even maximum a month. I'm pretty sure the update is in the final stages of being completed :V

 

He is working on SQL stuff, which I don't understand. :v
As quoted by him, he wants the update to be no less than perfect. I'm guessing a few more weeks, but only orange knows an approximate release date.

 

I can't wait for the update! It's going to be awesome!

 

New gun game.
A few more new maps.
New guns (SMG'S)
Nerfs and buffs.
Ability to join current games.
Multiple classes.
New killstreaks.
Mystery boxes(?)
etc.

 

There are lots of stuff that will get add .. And isn't it 2.0?

I'm pretty sure they aren't adding a new hub.

 

On my server we are definately utilizing the amazing new commands for command blocks! Lots of new abilities!

 

I think he was asking what Mc-War could do with the 1.8 update, not the Mc-War update that we've all heard about by now.

For one, there's a real spectate mode, so you don't have to glitch the game to watch people play.
(I really want there to be a map based around slime blocks, although it'd probably be hard to aim.)
