Idea Spawn Protection

    We've all been there, you're running around the grass / desert towns with your full leather suit, your SR9 and your four cans of beans, then you notice someone log in / respawn a few blocks away from you, then they start to shoot / hit you.
    Yet, you can't touch them as they have spawn protection....

    My suggestion - Spawn protection remains, however, if the player with spawn protection hits another player, they lose spawn protection.

    What will stop players from using the spawn protection and just running into a deeper zone?
    There should be either a time limit or a boundary you have to pass to loose spawn protection.

    There is already a 7 second time limit....

    Yeah I could see this being added. I like the *you even touch somebody it's gone* deal. I never thought about it. But if the person has a shotgun or a sniper your done.

    Not many people will have such good weapons around the spawn areas where players have spawn protection.

    Oh people do.... they do that a lot you have people with full diamond and the barret who camp in noob towns trying to get in a truckload of kills. When they relog this one bullet thing won't save you.*cough cough* Aidanmcc.

    But I was thinking that as long as they have their 7 second spawn protection they can't harm anybody, but they can't be harmed either.

    Thats what I meant by the "Stress on the many" part :wink:
    And of course, It would be identical to how it is already, other than, if the player with the spawn protection hits another player, before it has reached the 7 second limit, then they lose the protection upon being tagged in combat.
