    Hey, I was wondering if the map, DDay, could be evened up a bit. Having water that red team has to trudge through, landing in cob-webs and being completely owned, isn't that fun :frowning: Maybe get rid of some of the water and add some land routes? Thanks.

    I do agree, it's a nicely made map, but it is somewhat flawed like that. It could be rebuilt so that Red (The attacking team) have more of an advantage for going forward, whereas blue have more of an advantage if they stay and defend.

    This is dday.
    It wouldn't be dday when it was even.
    So, do you want dday or not?

    Well does it have to be dday? Could you alter it or does it have to be a COMPLETE remake of a COD map?

    It's not a COD map, it's a realistic version of dday.

    Unfortunately I have to agree with this.
    DDay2 is a beautifully built map but its horribly OP for blue for one simple reason.

    The blue and red teams have a great difference in time that they take to reach land. By the time the red team is on land, the blue team could have easily spread out all over the beaches and trap all the reds in the water.
    The old DDay had a larger gap between where the two teams would reach land.
    I think that with the current layout for DDay2, the only way to make it less OP would be to either remove/replace the cobwebs on the beach, or move the boat for red closer to the beach.

    Come on, don't cry. I'm sure you can still triple-nuke with the cobwebs.
    Dday is unfair, otherwise it's not dday.

    The cobwebs aren't that bad but, triple nuke? There is no dday_ctf.

    Well, if there's one advantage for red, it's that the client no longer renders a player from far away unless you set your render distance extremely high (but it causes lag). This makes it harder for the blue to kill all the red in the water. A recommendation for red to survive is to head for the sides of the beach instead of charging towards the middle. I learned most of the blue camps at the middle of the beach.

    P.S. Dem cobwebs prevented me from getting an MSR nuke.

    "Dday" is based off of actual attacks that happened in WWII. It was usual Sweden in the boats, and they would go in boats to the shore, and the Germans would usually gun them down even before they got off the boat. Adding land routes would not be a good idea.

    As everyone else said above, I don't think this would be a great idea.
    Just pick them off one by one when underwater, or behind a boat so they can't shoot you. Or sneak on shore under the boat.

    dday is dday, but I have to say that you are able to launch a nuke on each side. I have done it, and I am sure that it is a lot of players who have also done it.

    I'm still able to play a good game on DDay, even on inf, when I suicided. I don't really think DDay needs land routes, it's pretty hard to shoot people underwater anyways.

    There is no such thing as an "unfair good map". It doesn't matter if it compromises the realistic nature of the map. There has to be some way to even it out for both teams. I agree, the blue team's side has a really big advantage over the red team's side.

    I don't really mind that the map is unbalanced personally. If I'm on the red team I just go around and spawn camp the blue team.

    this is how d day worked people. If there going to have to map like it is supposed to be, the US would be just as screwed on landing as it is in mc-war. If you have a problem with d day then try to have it removed instead of changed

    dray is more unfair on infected, because in the zombies are being ray spammed once they take a step on a swamp block or what that thing is.

    Ray guns are not only a problem on dday, on every map.
    It were the Canadians and Americans.
