MC-TITANFALL

    Hello everyone,
    First of all, no, this is not an idea for an 'Attack on Titan' server, although that would be neat :wink: This is for a soon to be released future FPS called 'TitanFall'. I have had the privilege of playing the Beta for Titanfall, and it got me thinking. While playing, it reminded me a lot of MW2 because of the fast, new and exiting game play, which of course got me thinking about McWar, and how cool a Titanfall themed server would be. Now before you go all bat**** crazy on how this would be impossible and would never compare, just chill and hear me out... think of the possibilities :smile:

    In Titanfall, you play as a 'Pilot' a fast free running future soldier that can double jump and wall run. After a certain amount of time, you can call down a 'Titan' a big kick-ass mech you can hop in and control. Watch this vid to get a feel of it:

    Now here are some thoughts I had to give you an image of what the server would be like.

    -Pilots would have a jump/speed boost, and I know for a fact that a double jump plugin exists, so orange can do it. All the weapons could be made like the Mc-War ones, wouldn't be too hard. Although i don't think the wall running would be possible :frowning:
    -Titans could be re-textured iron golems, I know they aren't big enough, but it the best I could think of.
    -When a player calls for his Titan, an item could appear in your hotbar, and when you right-click could disguise you as an iron golem (again I have seen this kind of thing done). You would get a new set of Titan items (gun, magnetic shield, shoulder rockets) to replace your Pilot items, and have your jump/speed boost taken away. When you are about to die as a Titan, you can have a temporary very high jump boost to simulate the 'eject', and you would lose the golem disguise and look like a normal player again.

    Anyways, just an idea I thought I would throw out to the McBrawl community. When Titanfall is released, I recommend you try it out. And if anyone else here has played the beta, let me know what you think of this and please share any ideas you have.

    Awesome Idea! I'm really a fan of the trailers and waiting to get the game for pc :smile:
    but.. Server funding and finding a coder also pvp came out last month.

    Just because we got a new server does mean can't we have more...
    Anyways, realistically, it'll take a minimum of three months to code this.

    That could seem like a fun server to play. All it'd take is another coder to code it and a couple months of work and it should be ready for its beta stage.

    This would cost a lot for the coding, also mechs could be possible anyway I love the idea.

    I have a beta key, and the game is amazing. However, to bring it into minecraft would be extremely difficult to even some of the best coders. The number of mechanics involved with the game would be pretty hard to code. Some stuff that will need time to work out are grunts (use skeletons I guess), the free roaming mechanics, the AT weapons and tactics to take down the titans, the different types of titans, some of the weapons (smart pistols),and some other stuff. Also you have to consider TF is still a beta, so no one knows what the game will fully show. All of this is possible, but again it would be pretty hard in my opinion. Only people who will know if it is possible is Grey or our coders. I would love to see this, but we will have to see how it can play out.

    Glad to see another guy with a beta key. The smart pistol migh be possible, as I've seen some servers where projectiles automatically target other players. But you are right, if this was going to e a possibility then we would have to wait till the full release. I'm sure with some creative thinking and hard work it can be done :smile:

    I never said you cant have more servers. More would be good, but certain times you want people to soak in to things
    Like pvp then add a new server.

    By the time they decide if they want to do this, design some maps, get the coding all done and set they servers for release it will be the end of the year at the earliest, more realistically spring time 2015. That way the actual game titanfall would have picked up a huge fan base so we can have more players too

    It seems extremely possible to code it but it will require a lot of my cause otherwise it's gonna be extremely buggy

    My PC is coming Saturday and I have PS4. :L I can not try out the beta, but my friend has it. Only thing of which I am kinda upset is the fact that it ain't coming for PS4 nor Wii. And respawn is a company that's games are published by EA which is awkward. I have nothing against EA, just the fact that this is the reason that we are getting a horrible CoD coming this year....


    they stole infinity ward's/activision's dev team of 38 out of 40. it is not legit.

    I like the idea a lot. Maybe to add to the simulation of being in a mech there could be a pumpkin on your head while in the "iron golem", which would be retextured to look like your actually in a mech. With a futuristic HUD or something.

    Anyway, that is going to change McBrawl forever, epic levelution and total realism.
