    I have heard that the explosion from raygun will be removed in the update, with it no longer having an explosion radius what will make it special from normal/non donor guns.
    also after ray gets nerfed I expect a lot more "law noob" to be in chat :3

    They have to buff it's ammo to 8 | 24 so that we don't die out of ammo.

    I think it would be better if the radius would be reduced, taking away the radius itself would be a bit strange

    I suppose the only thing that would set it apart would be it's range and bullet speed. The raygun already sucks in tdm. A nerf would make it unusable. I hope they only nerf it for infect.

    I actually kind of like this, although i've played Halo once, I still know what you mean.
    Another way to kind of implement this idea, is to have it so it's a 1 shot per chamber, kind of like the Tesla Cannon from Fallout 3, that's really the only thing I could compare it to.

    If they take away the explosion completely, that would make it extremely unfair for the people that have already donated for it. They expect an explosion. If they take it away, it'll just be a sniper with a red streak. If they're going to nerf it (which they probably will) the only thing they'll be doing is making the explosion smaller. Not taking it away completely. Where did you get this information @chikenanater011 ?

    The raygun is never really meant to be played in any other gamemode except infect. If you don't have scavenger but you have raygun, you can just use another weapon. I was playing on Dustbowl1_Infect with some other ray gunners (this was before the raygun had an AOE). Believe me, even our other weapons such as laws and skullcrushers couldn't get many kills because the ray gunners stole them all. You see? The raygun will still have a great power even without it's AOE because of it's intense projectile speed. This is why I don't think the raygun needs an ammo buff seeing as everyone who has raygun also has scavenger with it.

    I agree with this. There should be no reason whatsoever for the ray gun to get nerfed. It's too OP in infect and such as it is.

    EDIT: I accidentally said nerfed. I meant BUFFED.

    I really do want to see the AOE being completely removed from the raygun. Believe me, the raygun was a weapon lots of people were already using before they even added in the AOE. The AOE only made more players use the raygun in gamemodes such as FFA and created a lesser variety of guns that people played with. This is because it was really hard to miss when your raygun had an instant projectile speed and a big AOE; not to mention that people also used the spamming firerate to their advantage. Plus, if the raygun gets it's AOE removed, than more people might use LAW seemingly as they currently have the same AOE right now.

    P.S. AOE means Area of Effect.

    But then why would people donate for it? Would they donate for a sniper that doesn't always insta-kill? The only thing special about it is that it would be extremely accurate (no scope wise), then it would also have a red streak.

    The Iso would be better than this.

    Not exactly; the raygun does have an advantage to the iso. It's that the projectile travels way faster than the iso. However, I do see your point there, so I was thinking the raygun should have no recoil to make up for no AOE. That way, you can strafe with it without being pushed back. No-scope is also an advantage to the raygun.

    P.S. I also forgot to mention that the raygun currently has a slight faster firerate than the iso @tallscot.

    Alright. This makes it a little more balanced, but that doesn't mean orange will listen.
