GTA Themed Servers

    I am without a doubt that all of you have heard of the GTA series and its success. With the release of GTA V in late 2013, Rockstar left its mark in the gaming industry, blowing gamers away with the all-new concepts and features.

    I'm not sure if this has been suggested before ( I checked, don't worry) but I think if McBrawl created GTA themed servers, it would be instant success and lure in minecrafters to join our growing community.

    The way it would work is simple: It would almost be like WarZ, but with twists such as cars, being able to purchase property, buying guns, raiding banks and, of course, good' old PvP.

    To create the servers would be no hassle whatsoever. There are many GTA San Andreas maps that are currently available for download, and others are even creating GTA V inspired maps (N11ck).
    There would have to be some retextured NPC's to act as civilians, and retextured zombies to be gangstas patrolin' da streetz.
    As far as "cars" go, the easiest and most practical way to go would be to retexture horses, (make sure to have them spawn in with a saddle equipped) and have some horses come with armor, others speed boosts, etc. etc. etc.
    There are, however, servers who have coded in vehicles ( Not naming any) but thus far the horse idea would seem easier.
    Purchasing homes-
    Well, this would be a cool feature, but eventually all the houses would be all sold out to some inactive member and it would be very annoying not being able to buy your dream beach house because Minecrafter415 bought it and left the servers.
    Plus, it would almost destroy the raiding aspect.
    As far as raiding stores and banks, I would suggest that the store owner might fight back, or a 50% chance you go to "jail", 50% chance you get $50,000 bucks richer :grinning:

    i don't think Mcbrawl needs this, plus PARENTS already thing low of McBrawl because of the cod based server, this would only make it worse. this is more violent than a server were you shoot people, Robbing banks is TOO violent for the children on the mcbrawl servers

    Okay, take out the bank-robbing scheme. I wasn't really to confident or firm on that one either. However, someone may suggest something to improve it so I'll keep it in the topic.

    I disagree. Minecraft is a lot less violent, especially when it comes to our servers. What about the other servers like factions, CTF, Walls, etc? Oh, slice through people brutally with a sword or shoot them to death with a bow! Maybe obliterate them with TNT! My point is that a COD server isn't anywhere near violent, as it's just people right clicking tools to shoot snowballs at each other.

    Anyways, I am not a fan of GTA. It just doesn't seem like a game that I would like, and it really isn't unique. That's me though.

    GTA like servers can be created ( and have been!) using public plugins. I feel that the hype about GTA has died out, and the chance missed.

    We'll have to wait until GTA VI comes out, then, instant success.

    Yes, this idea sounds fantastic! Imagine creating gangs with your own members, raiding other gangs, setting up hideouts, and murdering NPC's! A total must add!

    Some parents like Bobaddie's disapprove of him playing the mc-war server because it's based on CoD. Minecraft doesn't have items that look like a gun or bullets and there's no blood effect when a player gets damaged by the bullets. Anyways, all I'm trying to point out is that it's hard for some parents not to see Mc-War as violent when there's a texture pack that a lot of players use that make a lot of the items and sounds similar to call of duty.

    Nah let's stay in what the McBrawl servers have been created: mc-war. Let's not go play gta and stuff, there's a lot of servers out there that propose that

    Being the fan I am of GTA, I would like to see this added. But, I understand that it doesn't really fit in with McBrawl's genre, so I'll remain neutral on the idea.

    This is not in theme of the servers, the theme is Minecraft call of duty, I agree it would be nice to have a gta server but not at this stage of the servers

    Dude, I don't even play GTA. I just watched my friend play it on his iPhone for a few minutes, so I got a general idea of how it goes.
