Chicken capturing bug

    I have a chicken and a cow farm pretty close together (1 block wall between) and always when I try to capture a chicken, it captures a cow. So I throw the egg on a chicken while sneaking, the chicken gets the damage from the egg, but it doesn't disappears. It says "Captured cow", I only loose the max levels for a cow and I need to go to the cow farm to pick up the eggs.

    I think thats maybe because the 2 different animals are so close together, cause earlier with other farms it worked well, but it's still kinda annoying :l

    I threw an egg to a creeper it got damaged but i got "chicken escaped egg"

    Yea Roke this is a glitch with all mobs. it doesn't always catch the one you hit but instead it gets a random animal within the radius. If you want to avoid this just use a lead on the chicken and take it outside to capture it.

    Is this one of those technical things where since it is a glitch that has not been resolved it is technically a gravedig?
