Changes to shotgun mechanics

    Shotgun change meant to make the servers more like COD.
    Suggested before, but as you reload a shotgun that requires individual shells to be loaded in during a reload, you can cancel the reload at any time, but only have ___ shells in your gun. An event can be created that simulates a player loading a shotgun shell in, and have that repeat for the number of rounds in a shotgun. Currently, our system is a normal reload, just with different sounds to simulate the player loading shells in. A system to actually have the player load shells in one by one instead of it just being a normal reload would be nice. For instance, if your shotgun has 5/8 shells in it, you only need to load 3 shells in.
    This wouldn't apply to the weapons that use magazines, like the AA-12 and Typhoid, but would affect the other shotguns.

    I would say the magazine pooping out would be great and more realistic.

    I'll say no to the first part because I like to be able to have a full clip ready and the proposed system discourages that.
    Here's an example to better illustrate my point:
    Say you're in an infect match. You see a zombie coming and you use four python shots to get the kill. Now you have the choice to either not reload, saving ammo but increasing the chances of getting too many zombies to handle, or reload and waste 5 bullets.
    A compromise I came up with is to use the proposed system by default, but pressing E will make the reload take 50% (subject to change) longer and keep the ammo like the current system.
    I agree with the second part though.

    The more logical idea is logical but that only happens in battlefield, not CoD. also this would be annoying for people who don't have scav.

    This is like Battlefield pretty much, I would have to say no, as non-donors will usually find this very annoying. It will also kinda make me sad since I am targeter and I need to stay unwatched.

    Because I don't have COD, I don't know exactly how ammo works. However, if we used magazines, it would be a lot more fair for non donors. They would have more ammo in weapons like assault rifles, which means they actually have a chance to nuke without scavenger. Of course, the player could just keep the used magazine on a reload, but this is really meant to let players have more ammo, as well as to make the gun mechanics more advanced.

    Ammo in cod is that you have around 90 bullets or so (assault rifles). We use the cod reload system as of now. I do not play battlefield, but I played TitanFall and idea 1 is that system. Now I would like to ask you something, moving to this clip system would require a change in scavenger. If you get a new mag for every kill, that would be way to OP. We will have to work out a system with scav. I would just rather stick with the cod system, as that just seems a little better to me. However, I do really like the reload system you mentioned for the pump action shotguns. That would be better, as you could reload to say 3 shells for the model, instead of having to reload every shell.
    So overall, my personal opinion is to stick with the cod reload system, and I like the shotgun system you suggested.

    The key word is realistic, minecraft and cod are not realistic, this is just complicated and unnecessary, I do think the shotgun system should be added though.

    i voted yes, because i have scav but people who havent scav couldnt use shotguns with fun

    Good idea, but the time to the shell in the gun would have to be quick 1-2 seconds
