You do get a secondary and an ammo kill streak...

 

They were clever making it like this. If you dodn't have much ammo you want to have more right? They make it if you want to get more kills and ammo then you have to buy scavenger. It is harsh but that is how business works.

 

The thing about automatics in War is that unless you have scavenger perk, you will nearly always run out of ammo before you can EMP or nuke. Even a pro who has 100,000+ kills could struggle using skullcrusher without scavenger. I give you three solutions:

A. Buy scavenger. Simple, and problem solved, but it costs $3 in real life.
B. Use snipers or shotguns. If you use a sniper like l118a and you conserve your ammunition well, you can EMP or even nuke. Moddel is another great option.
C. Conserve ammunition. When using your m4a1, aim for the head and try to let go of the right click button as soon as you think the person will die.

True, but other people can kill you quicker.

 

Yes, I would not advise using the sword in combat. Ironically, this discussion has led to something that happened in my early days as Skulduggry57. I remember I had m4a1 and m9 with no scavenger, and managed to get a 14 killstreak, but died trying to knife someone because I ran out of ammunition. If you do end up having to knife people, try and be subtle until you EMP, then while they're blind, charge them,

 

The only way you can not worry about ammo and trying to get ks is either getting scavenger ( fortunately daniellazer gifted it to me ) or use the iso, I know it sounds stupid but itis practically the only weapon that can you can get a nuke without having too many issues

 

You start with limited ammo because they need people to donate for scavenger. Else, not as many people would donate.

 

Four helpful ways to resolve this:
1. Level up soon and get better guns
2. Donate for scavenger and MVP/VIP to get more ammo per kill or to start off with
3. Try to use your secondary if you can
4. Try to go for the 5 killstreak to get more ammo.

This should help you at the least or a lot. And also, there is always a knife you have...

While I do think getting Scavenger fixes the problem, Automatics just have way too little ammo. Two clips, that's it. If you can't pay or have no money, you're pretty screwed...

 

Tip for the m4: its good for clearing clusters
Wait until there are people clustered and control your fire. Even though I have the lemanation with scavenger, I still need to conserve ammo. Anyways, use the L118a for headshots. Use half slabs with a sniper for your advantages or hit people when they are damaged. N.b: the L118a has 64 shots so use it w/o worrying about running out of ammo. As for pistols, use it when people are down to 5 hearts pr lower so you kill them with less ammo
Only hit targets that are in range or targets you know you will hit. It is possible to nuke w/ the m16 and desert eagle with out scavenger. It was hard, but is possibe of you land a head shot with the desert eagle.

You could always pay $3 for scavenger not that much money and it's way worth it.

Just buy scavenger, use your pistol, or your sword.

 

the iso was the only weapon i could nuke regularly with without scav (which i got last week)

 

Same, I only managed to nuke once with the skull crusher and that was on encore tdm
