Idea Banana Peels in Horse Race

    We should add an item called "Banana Peels".
    Cost
    This item will be purchasable in the shop for 120 coins.

    Block

    When you buy a "Banana Peel", you will get a piece of yellow wool in your inventory.

    How to use

    To use the item, you would simply hold it and right click, it would then place the yellow "Banana Peel" 2 blocks behind your horse.

    The way it would work

    The placed block would remain where it was placed until someones horse crashed into it. When someones horse knocks into the peel, there horse will freeze for 2 seconds. After the 2 seconds runs out, the player/horse will be allowed to move again.

    Notes

    I think this would be a great addition to Horse Race, and would make it more similar to the actual "Mario Cart" game.

    (Credit to @Chickenninja15 for saying that we should add "Bananas". But I came up with the rest :stuck_out_tongue:)

    Actually, one thing I noticed.

    How about, instead of making your horse freeze, give the player nausea or make the horse spazz out or something of that nature to give it a cooler effect. :stuck_out_tongue:

    Rather, have an item such as yellow dye and have them set so you can shoot them in a direction and once shot and destination is his it will will stay there until hit by a player. It would be like a grenade or flashbang but instead of blowing up over a small period time it will stay in place until interacted by a character.

    This is a great idea! Although it would be quite hard to dodge them. Unless there's a new horse race map in which there's more room to dodge..?

    But how would you control where it went? Say you wanted to throw it behind you, would you have to stop moving and turn around? What if you threw it in front you, and then hit your own Banana? In the game of Mario Cart, you can throw Bananas in front of you, and behind you. However something like this may not be possible in Minecraft, because I don't think there would be a direct way to control that. Unless, we make is so you like left click it to throw it forward, then right click the trow it back. Also, in Mario Cart, if you happen to hit your own banana (One that you threw in front of you) you aren't affected by it, but the banana will disappear.

    It will be easy enough to code the forward backward thing I would think. Possibly retexture an ender pearl so it already has the throwing mechanism coded in then right click to throw it back. The only issue I see is currently the races are 1 lap. So putting a banana wont have much of an affect on the leader if it's a one lap race. Implementing this would mean possibly adding more laps and also maybe the mystery boxes like in Mario party? We could add banana's to the Shop but I think it would be cooler if we had those Ender Crystals as the mystery boxes and when you rode your horse threw them they exploded and you had an item in your inventory pop up. That's probably too much coding for it's worth but I think it would be a great addition.

    I like the idea or mystery boxes, but as you said, it might be rather much to code. It would be pretty fun though.

    As for the "Banana Peel" idea, I like it. It would make horse racing more interesting, knowing that at any moment a yellow block can be place in from of you. Excellent idea.

    Left click drops the item behind you and you can shoot it like a projectile with right click :v
