AA12 buff

    I was recently trying to nuke with the aa12 for one of the challenges, and there were some things that I would like to suggest. The aa12 has a very nice firerate, and damage, but it has very low ammo, and scavenger only returns 5 bullets or something like that. The other thing I didn't like about the gun was that it has very low range, so it was really hard to even get near the people with automatics or other better shotguns. Please leave your suggestions, and tell me what you think about this idea.

    I was thinking of doing an ammo buff thread, but I am unsure now. My best was an EMP with AA12, but I've never gotten further. I'd suggest using python to get on a 5 killstreak without using AA12, then waste 'em.

    The AA 12 surprised me when I tried to nuke with it. It really was not all too bad. Think I got a 14 ks, but I was swarmed with 5 guys with Isos and models. The only thing that I think needs a slight change would be maybe a 1 or 2 block range extension, and a little more reserve ammo/more ammo given back with scav.

    It is true, you waste half your clip on shooting one guy. It needs a lot more ammo to enjoy the weapon fully

    The range would be great for a buff, possibly two or three blocks are and maybe an ammo buff. I'm with you @teostefi

    I think the aa12 is a very difficult weapon to work around. It's a very underpowered weapon, although it's also very annoying for other people. As it is, it's underpowered, but if it gets noticeably buffed, then people would complain that it's overpowered. If it deals a good amount of damage for a shotgun, then its rate of fire will be its demise.

    In my opinion the AA12 is fine as it is. If anything should be buffed, it should be it's clip size. I don't think it needs anything more than this. I guess it's range could be buffed, but that would be pushing it. At close range, the AA12 is deadly. It 2-3 hits if you are close enough without giving your opponent any chance of survival. The main reason I think the AA12 should not be buffed is it's performance in infect. The AA12 performs ridiculously well in infect, constantly 1-2 shot killing any zombie in range. It is practically a low-powered minigun and small groups of zombies don't stand a chance. Only large groups of zombies can take down this gun. All in all, I think that the AA12 shouldn't be used in any gamemode other than infect. It does not do well in tdm, but on infect, it is devastating.

    AA12 is a fun gun. I dont think it should get a huge buff, BUT a small buff would be nice.

    The AA12 isn't that weak of a shotgun. Suprisingly, you would find it to be more powerful than an m4a1 at close range. If you're trying to achieve that AA12 nuke, sneak behind a group of players, than spray them. The AA12 works so great at close range because the bullets aren't as spread out as compared to shooting someone from farther away.

    No need for a range buff because of it's spamming power. However, it definitely does need to give you back more ammo with scav and have a higher clip.

    P.S. This gun works best in the corner on Cargo_Infect and on Downturn_Infect.

    An ammo buff would be nice, as you don't even have enough ammo for two full clips. But really, it's fine, otherwise.

    I personally think the weapon needs more strength and damage in each bullet that is fired. The range could be increased just a little more but everything else is fine.

    I think that even if a buff is required, it should only be to be to the amount of ammunition. Paired with a good pistol like desert eagle or Python, it's range is not an issue and together they make a great combo.

    Lol i use model 1887 with stopping power (1 hit kill shotgun), so i'm spoiled. Thanks for the map tip f1r3tar. Im level 38 with a HORRIBLE kdr (dont want to say it on the forums), so i'll give the aa12 a try on those maps.

    While the aa12 may be quite a good gun I would still largely advise the moddel1887 over it. But at level 38, I would advise the isolator instead or the famas if you have scavenger.

    Thanks, yes I have scavenger, and I dont realy use famas much anymore. (Thanks for the tips though)

    aa12 + exec i got a 12 ks on erosion tdm then someone that might have had kill aura stabbed me to death.
    I also agree with all of you that it only needs an ammo buff, but a range buff would be nice.

    I think aa12 is fine as it is, but extra spare ammo (not the clip) would be really nice :3
