Server Host Move - Update

Yeah let's get back on topic.
I hope the servers get up within the next 24 hours.

 

Well, a host switch in my opinion must be a major switch considering its been TWO WHOLE DAYS.
I hope this upgrades and improves McBrawl significantly otherwise this would be very disappointing. But keep working and get it up soon

 

The reason it's been taking so long is that we've never deleted any files and we have had over 1 million players, so that's a million files we need to transfer, especially for WarZ, we need to transfer all the ender chests. And they don't delete the ender chest files of non-MVP players, so that's a million ender chest files.

A million? That's a great milestone! Except it can be a long time to move those files.: /

 

Oh lord. That is a lot. But for the MVP files, you could possibly activate those, and delete the others? Because from what I know, I believe non donators cannot use enderchests. I would not know for sure since I do not frequently play WarZ, but thats all.
Also, all the statistics would have to stay too I would assume? Since War is probably the most played server, transferring all the levels guns and coins etc would be a while too.
I don't know. I would hope that the admins would be doing their best, which they most definetly probably are, but I kind of wish it could speed up. I can already sense the community getting restless. Theres a constant 100+ players on the server hub ALONE, just waiting for the second it comes back.

 

I'm pretty sure we reached a million a long time ago, but I guess yes, it is still a great milestone.

 

Well, some people (me) have had MVP before, stored stuff in an enderchest, and don't have MVP anymore. I can't access that stuff until I get MVP again, but it would be nice if that stuff stayed there.

 

You got a point. I know I am just making excuses etc. But ANOTHER reason xD is possibly to remove the files of the empty ones? (thats a big if)
I just either need something to kill the time, or hope the server comes back as soon as possible.

 

Well, the empty ones probably take little to no time at all because there's nothing in them.

They're probably almost done anyway. #Soon

-spend family time
-do chores without being asked to
-watch youtube vids

Seriously, take advantage of life, it's the only one you have.

I have. I have played sports for about 4 hours with a tournament, did homework, went out to dinner, and have had friends over a while ago. I am just sad how it isnt back yet. But life goes on.

 

Some of us get bored at other servers. I get bored at playing Mega Walls :/

 

They are obviously almost done. But I can probably assume it will either be back tomorrow or on Sunday. If it is publically announced on twitter, youtube, etc. so the community can see it, I kinda think the servers will overload with so many players. [laughing emoji]

I think that qualifies as advertising. Please do not advertise, send a private message, or a Skype. Something other than doing it publicly.
