From what I've seen, here are the guns that the majority of the community consider "noobs" in gamemodes excluding infect and onein, as well as gungame.
Not "nooby":

• M16
• M1914
• L118a
• USP
• M4A1
• SPAS-12
• Dragunov
• M9
• AK-47
• Barrett
• Magnum
• Famas
• MSR
• Desert Eagle
• Lamentation
• SPAS-24
• Executioner
• Skullcrusher (some people who don't know better may call you a minigun noob)
• Dissassembler
• Typhoid
• Python

Kinda "nooby":

• AA12 - Some people just rage about the bullets firing so quickly at them
• Model - Its high damage and range make many rage about it. However, it only needs a small nerf, to be honest.
• Isolator - Ever since Joey started the "Iso noob" trend, lots of people have been calling others "Iso noobs." To those people, play better. As long as you don't use the Iso every map, not many will complain.
• Minigun - It kills very quickly at short range. People may get annoyed by that, but it isn't too bad.
• Flamethrower - It sets people on fire, distracting them and ending their killstreaks. Pretty tactical weapon, but some people might get annoyed about being on fire.
• LAW - Ever since its nerf, not many have complained about it. However, it seems like the LAW does slightly more damage, being able to one shot more people.

"Nooby":

• Raygun - It shoots an instant laser that explodes, and has a good reload and shot delay time. It's an annoying gun.
• Crossbow - One arrow in you, and you're dead. It also can bypass spawn protection, which is a bug. Because it will kill if you land one arrow, and since you can spam those arrows, many complain about it.

Note that these aren't my opinions, this is likely what a lot of the community thinks.

But it isn't nooby, it is mostly because people are too sad after dying. It is one thing to camp and spam the crossbow or ray gun, but you earned the Skullcrusher. It is a fair enough gun to be implemented for every player to get. Enjoy it, and ignore the other people.

I get called hacker, etc. on PvP servers, but I use it as motivation to get better.

 

Skully isn't nooby, don't care about the "noob" shouters

I just think it is a bit nobody because it is so easy to use, and it just gets boring if you use it over and over again. Doesn't it get boring to nuke with the same guns over and over again. That is why recently I have been using other guns, so that I could improve my overall skill. So far I have nuked with the aa12, m4a1, m16, l118a in the non prestige weapons. While in the prestige weapons I have nuked with all of them, so it gets old. Try other weapons too, and you will find it is a lot of fun, with out nuking with the same old gun every game.

 

No it's not it's just like the famas with a little bit more damage.

I've never heard someone call out "skully noob". But yeah, it is powerful, but not many people even use it because they go with donor guns :/. It's nowhere near nooby, don't let anyone make you think it is.

 

You just can't win.... Good gun = Noob ; Bad gun = Noob :/

Skully takes alot of skill not with the gun but dodging attacks while firing.

 

Here is the thing, one problem with the community is when the blame the OP weapon. I can give a perfect example, the old Barret. Back on the old forums and in game, half the community wanted to keep it how it was and the other half wanted to nerf it. They ended up making the barret a 2 hit kill, and after a while people got over it. Then, everyone's focus moved to the Iso, the chow, and the ray. These guns will be slightly nerfed (not sure about the cbow, all I know is that you can no longer get spawn kills). I bet that when the update comes, everyone will shift there focus again to another gun, my guess would be the skull or some other prestige gun. This is what I think will happen, but again I could be completely wrong. It is my opinion.
Now onto if the skull is nooby, I would say no, but it is a better iso. I really never read in chat 'skully noob'. All I read is cbow or iso. In my opinion, no it is not. My opinion.

 

We just discussed this similar thing with the moddel thread... and there is no "nooby" gun. Just because the weapon is op doesn't mean its nooby...

Let's say it would be nooby: What's the problem? You deserve skully because you reached lvl 40. It's not your problem if it was nooby.
Luckily it isn't really nooby, so keep going and use it as often as you like to.

 

On the contrary, if you use the skullcrusher it means your skilled and not using easy weapons to try to get kills. Note: the people who call you a skully are most lightly 10 year old kids.

 

Nooby guns:
Demolisher aka: RayGun
Crossbow aka: Cbow

 

But let's face it. If you kill ANY immature player with ANY gun, they're going to call it nooby.

 

In my opinion , i think skully isn't a noob gun because you need to have skills to kill lots of players.

 

I don't use skully that much, but I've only been screamed at "ER mah gerd, skull crusher nub!"
