/report command

You wouldn't be able to upload screenshots, so there would be lack of proof. How exactly would this work? Would it notify a Moderator when they log on? The culprit could have logged off by then. Without the screenshot proof, there is not much we could do.

 

Yeah I'm not sure how this would be implemented, as said before you can't really get a screenshot to report via in game. Sorry but I don't think this would work.

 

What you could do, is what ever mod is on, it gives them a notification, and the first mod to do /mod, or something gets teleported to the server/player?

 

Beyond the problem of providing evidence, I don't think the general minecraft community can be trusted with a command that they can use at any time, which alerts staff of a "rule breaker." 9 times out of 10 it's just someone angry because they got nuked.

Maybe in the old war this could've worked but now seeing as war has become idiots raging and swearing it would not be helpful for us staff. Most of the reports would be people reporting someone for using raygun in TDM or something like that.

 

I think a cool feature would be if you do /report a staff member can firstperson spectate the "hacker" with the new spectate ability in the update. That way they can easily catch hackers and they wont get any fake reports

 

This would still mean that we got millions of people reporting people for dumb things.

 

Maybe you would have a 1 hr cooldown and if someone abuses the /report command it would be disabled for them. Another idea is to only enable it for 31+ players since they usually make less hackusations (except on 1)

 

Even if people were allowed it only once, they would still use it for something pointless and therefore waste our time.

 

I do not think this would be very useful in game.
Just try to take a video and report it on the forums.

Once this is done go to your launcher, go to your options then go to gamedir. Go to your screenshot folder.

When you have extracted your screenshot by just simply putting it on your desktop then go to this site: http://imgur.com to upload your image.

Go to the report section on the forums, copy the link of your screenshot that you got from imgur in the appropriate section and your done

 

Meh, kinda half-baked just because there are so many things needed when reporting another player(eg. proof). I don't think it would really "work" too well if this were added. Just my opinion though.

Yea, this could just be useful to get moderators attention on potential people who could be hacking, but then that creates more work for the moderators. Also, let's not forget about people who spam reports.

 

On a mac, it is harder to find files so I just go to my resource pack, go to screenshots, find the screenshot and drag. It is easiest on the mac this way.

 

Not the best of ideas. The command could be very easily abused by people who are angry at the person they are reporting. Without evidence of what was reported, nothing could be done.
