    Just logged in the game after many many months, something seems really different with the sound, I can't hear anyone elses guns, all the audio is just the sound of snowballs hitting the walls and my gun, it seems really weird, it doesnt sound like a battlefield like it used to, why am i the only one bothered by this?

    Uhm, do you have the resourcepack? If so, maybe it is your Minecraft settings? I haven't noticed a difference.

    Maybe it's because you are becoming deaf? Do you remember what you stuck in your ear recently? I know what I did :V

    Here are a few solutions that I can give:
    • You may have accidentally turned off certain sounds in Minecraft settings.
    • Your resource pack could be out of date considering you haven't logged in for many months. Try re-installing the resource pack and see if that fixes the problem.
    • Your PC speakers (or laptop) may be starting to break. Check to see if there's something wrong with them or if they're really old.

    I also noticed this, though I guess it can be that I have such much wax in my ear..

    This. Also your headphones may not be fully plugged in, that was a major problem with my microphone when I tried talking, I never plugged it in all the way.

    You actually have to have the resource pack it doesn't automatically download for you anymore, if that's what your talking about.

    Not all gun sounds can be heard. Some are local only, while some can be heard by everyone around you. That may be the reason why.

    There are multiple volume settings on a computer. Any one of them can be turned down.

    But you should be able to hear the guns, I know that I can.

    Make sure you have everything in mc audio settings on, some of them disabled sounds from other players.

    Do you have the resource pack on?
    That may be causing the problem, as people said above.

    Make sure that you have all your sounds to 100 % cause the gun sounds use all of them

    And you're sounds may be messed up cuz of the lag on the server or you're settings.

    Do /texture, re-install the texture pack.

    If that does not work, look at your computer sound setting or at your minecraft's sound. It may have been turned down.
