Some of you may have seen me winning FFAs quite often, once I mind to look at the server. As for most part, I prefer to try out challenging loadouts/class setups that provide high mobility and great hip-fire accuracy. My personal favorite is famas. Why, you may ask. Because of the fact, that:
-It deals a nice amount of damage.
    -Has larger clip than skull
    -Has very fast reload
    -Provides amazing hip-fire accuracy
    -Doesn't require scavenger as much

Well, by looking at the pros of it, you may ask yourself: "Isn't skully better?" Well, famas has higher mobility, and it is really good when fired from hip/without aiming, so you can start shooting enemies faster. It is pretty useful when combined with deagle, because you can keep enemies at the bay. I am sure that most of you like minigun, but honestly, I have gotten so many close rounds against minigun players, campers, etc. For most of the time, minigun will knock you back, lacking mobility. While with famas, you strafe-jump and take out the player in a burst or two. So, to sum it, I highly recommend this weapon for 2 maps: Appaloosa_ffa and raid_ffa. By using this gun properly, you will be able to get a large amount of kills within few seconds. If you camp a lot, this gun is not the best for you. Of course, 1st try isn't the best, but once you practice for few rounds, you get a hang of it.

As an addition, I have my own class that I prefer with famas.

Interesting fact: N11cK (The guy that has made many Mc-War maps) loved famas, and he used pretty commonly when he played War.

Famas class set-up is simple, it can be suited for non-donors.

    Primary: Famas
    Secondary: Deagle
    Tactical: None/Molotov for campers.
Lethal: Grenade or Tomahawk, both are effective.
    Perk: SleightOfHand or Stopping Power
    No armor required or superknife.

Killstreak layout: Dog killstreak after 2.0

Famas and deagle are a great combo. Deagle has a great hip-fire accuracy, it can prevent you from getting knifed. Watch your back, conserve ammo, you may run out of it. With dogs/Riley squad, you can bust some people in a corner.

The only reason I would actually prefer Famas over Skullcrusher is because it has two more bursts in its clip. They have about the same hip fire accuracy, and both lack recoil. However, the Skullcrusher does a bit more damage, and is only countered by its 24 round clip.

Yes, and of course, slow reload speed. Python can consume it, but it won't work that well.

I prefer using the Lemantation during FFA because of that firerate which can pack a punch. The only thing I'm not that fond of is the recoil.

Famas is still a great gun to use because it has no recoil making it easier for strafing.

I usually never win, and usually spawncamped pretty hard by people using the ray guns.
I do not know, I have seen more ray gun people in FFA then Famas, but I cannot really tell the difference between a M4A1 and a Famas.

Rayguns in FFA usually don't end well.
Any gun seems fine to me in FFA as long as it has a decent clip and good damage. I myself use Minigun c:

Famas is a 3-round burst with no recoil.

And the M4 is fully automatic with no recoil. Really, they are quite different, making different shooting sounds and doing different damage.

Okay, so it is much different than the Famas from Call of Duty Black Ops 1.

Well, if we're comparing the two now, skully, I think, would be better. I think this because, what you said about clip size, accuracy, and reload time, doesn't matter, because when you get killed, all of that resets, thus not making you reload.
