I am using Google Chrome by the way, I suggest you use it too if you don't already use it.
1. Scroll down to the Download section...

And click on the link to the right of Alpha 0.3.
It will take you here.

2. Ignore the ads and click on the green DOWNLOAD button. It looks like this.

Now, because Mediafire is filled with ads to support it, a popup will likely open. Simply close it. Now, depending on your browser, it will either give you a place to save it, or it will auto download it.
I have mine set so that I can define a download location, so I get this.

Now, if you get this, navigate to any folder that you'll be able to find. Click Save.
Notice that it is a WinRAR ZIP archive. That's the .zip I was telling you about.
If it auto downloads, or when you download it, it looks like this.

Notice the bottom part. It may have a different color for you, but I'm using a Chrome theme.
Look at this.

Click on the arrow to the right.

Now click on Show in folder.

Here it is, in my folder.
Double click it and open it.
It may look like a folder with a zipper or it may say 7ZIP. That's fine, keep going. It should look like this if you're using 7ZIP or WinRAR.

It should at least be similar to that. If it's a compressed folder (folder with a zipper) it will have a folder view. That's fine. Don't close this.
Now open a new folder.

Go to the search bar....

...and type in %appdata%

Hit enter.

Now open the .minecraft folder...

Scroll down and open the versions folder...

Then go back to your opened mod file. Click ONCE on the MC-War folder. Don't open it.

Now, drag the MC-War folder into your versions folder, being careful not to place it inside any other version folders.

It should now be in there.

LiteLoader is another version, I put that in the screenshot to show you that it doesn't go in any other folders, just the versions folder.
Now start Minecraft.

Click on New Profile...
Name it whatever you want....
...and find Use Version.

Click on the box, scroll until you find release MC-War, and click on that.

Now, save the profile and launch Minecraft with that instance. It will edit your server list, but it's the mod only. When you change versions/instances, your server list will be back.

 

Why does the Alpha 0.4 link bring you to the 3.0 download?

the alpha3 glitch thing is a typo it says you already have it because you possibly downloaded the real alpha 3. the alpha 4 download actually downloads alpha4, but it's called alpha3.

Don't "May" look at it. Look at it. It's amazing, especially in game.

@phantamanta44 can you make a WWII version of the client with ww2 gun iron sights using brawleraces texture pack?

When I go to download version 0.4 it gives me the download for 0.3 ;-;

 

its a glitch its actually 0.4

 

Alright, the downloads are obviously derped up. I'm guessing 0.3 is actually 0.4. So just download anyways, and hope that it is the changed version.
@chikenanater011 phanta doesn't need to make a whole new mod with new iron sights. I am currently working on all my texture packs to try and get custom sights to replace the default sights.
For those having problems, you simply need to rename the file to 0.4 instead of 0.3, then overwrite the old MC-War instance with this.
Go to your versions folder, and delete MC-War. Then, extract the 0.4 client folder (named MC-War) into your versions folder. Then, run Minecraft as usual.
