Yes it is, but be prepared for it to reset all your Phone's apps, music, and other downloads. Sometimes, if you do an untethered version, you have to hook it to the computer if it powers off. Be careful but it is very fun to play around with!

 

I've jailbroken my iPhone 4s twice on ios 6.1.3 and ios 7.0.1. I haven't had any problems with jailbreaking, and it has tons of benefits. Although you must be very careful and be sure you know what you're doing. I broke my phone and had to factory reset it because I kind of deleted some of the operating system :v so you have to watch what you do. But as long as you are careful, I recommend it.

 

Are you aware of those "huge benefits", and if they are beneficial to you? Jailbreaking is not for everyone, and always do it from reliable sources. Jailbreaking breaks some warranties in some countries and can open a hole in the OS's security if you are not cautious.

 

It's worth it, you can even change your mobile OS to a desktop OS. I once changed my iPhone 4S's operating system to Mac OS X Lion.

Yes and No. If you jailbreak it, your iPhone will be slower and if it is a bad version, prepare to loose your phone. Good thing is, the fact that you can acces all apps for free. I didn't really jailbreak my iPhone 5.

wants to spend some Benjamin's on an Android. And what's with the hype about cyan other than customization and Android updates (Nexus 5 user laughs)?

Before you do it, look up really good guides on how to jailbreak. Then, look at all the benefits and downsides. Finally, look up how to undo it. Then you can decide, and go from there. My friend has jailbroken 30 I devices and undid about 35.

 

The only thing you have to worry about when jail breaking is that you no longer have a warrant on your iphone. that's really the only downside to it. Other than that, I've successfully jailbroken my phone on IOS 3, 5, 6, and 7.

Jailbreak= loss of warranty with your cellular provider.
