    2(a^2-ab)=1(a^2-ab), you are cancelling out the (a^2-ab) on each side, to do this you divide each side by (a^2-ab).
    Since a=b, a^2-ab = 0, therefore you are doing:
    2(0) = 1(0)
    Because you cannot divide by 0, you are not able to cancel out these 0's.
