Balancing the Crossbow

    There have been already many posts on fixing specific things about this, but I want this thread to be the place where all the ideas are gathered.

    If you ask me, I would suggest that...
    - Make the damage so that Flak Jacket users will survive one explosion with full health (unless that's the way it already is).
    - Increase the range but still incorporate the trajectory (arrow curves downward).
    - Keep the explosion radius. Many have wanted the radius to be larger, but it's not a grenade, much less a LAW.
    - Increase reload time a little.
    - CRAZY IDEA: I think that you can select the crossbow to be your secondary, but you only get 6 bolts. Crazy idea, yes, but still balanced. I mean, if you ask me, I'd take the Raygun anyday over this weapon.

    Any other suggestions? Please post here and make this the main thread for this thing! I've been sort of busy with school, but I will post my final "Let's Talk" thread on the AUTOS/Assault Rifles.

    You and balancing...lol. The crossbow like just came out...I think? And I'm pretty sure they'll keep on buffing and nerfing it. I hope they take these ideas though for the fact that I can tell what is wrong with it just based off this post.

    The thing is terrible, i've tried and tried to use this and I can not for the love of god find a way to use it. Now, the way I count damage compared to actual cod, 1 heart is 10 health. So please, refer to this.

    Crossbow "Tri-Bolt" attachment = Shot three bolts at a time.

    Not gonna have attachments for a while, I'd suspect. But, I do think that "Tri-Bolt" will be added.
    I'm not Communist, but I believe in balance. A noob on MCWar can get a lot of kills with the Skully, but in CoD, the best players can really use whatever gun and still reap a whole lotta kills. However, some guns in CoD are unbalanced. For example, the MP7 in MW3. That thing was literally a laser.

    To be honest, if I ever learn enough code, I want to start my own server where CoD will be the only thing represented. I will have a main server for each CoD game, and balance will reign! But for now, MCWar is the only good CoD server out there, and it'll do until then...

    Well, just how the Raygun recieved buffs like mad, I'm pretty sure the same should happen here...

    Yeah, I didn't say that to be mean or an asshole. Like you said, a good player can use really any gun and get great results with it. I hardly use this gun, but with the S12 shottie on Black Ops 2, the majority of my kills are 1 shot. That could be something of unbalance, or my own skill...but yeah I agree with you on balances.

    Yeah probably. There is always a time where you must quit a server and move on. So many servers I have left...I hope MC-War doesn't get that for a long time. I'm starting to split time between servers though...it's just hard since MC-War is my all time favorite.

    If crossbow was a secondary, someone could just use scavenger for more ammo. That's the only thing I don't like; everything else is fine.

    True that. Skully plus Cross....forget it...from what I have heard, Python does better work.

    If you guys had the crossbow, you'd know that you actually waste a LOT of ammo. I have Scavenger, and I still run out! It's the same deal in CoD. The crossbow takes a lot of skill. Really.

    I think if you put crossbow in secondary it would be to OP.
