So, I need to know what you guys think. My country is next to Russia, I have never heard of my country having powerful military forces or any good weapons. Seemingly, I bet that my country will get occupied within 2 years. Yes, we have NATO, but who would send their army to a country that they have never heard of? Also, Latvia (That's where I live) and Estonia (Smallest country in the Baltic States) have no military infrastructure that would involve non-local personnel. Even Lithuania (Biggest country in these states) has a military airbase, in which are based multiple airplanes from USA and from few other countries. So, who will be the first NATO country to get invaded? Even if I was a general or a high-ranked officer, I would care less about those countries and care more for important ones, like UK or France. Compared to Russian Federation/ Post-Democratic Regime of Russia, Baltic States and Finland have the highest chances to get occupied. Finland has strong army, so they won't get occupied that quickly. Same with Ukraine, they have huge army and a ton of missiles, e.g. the stuff that we can not afford due to low budget. So, I'm pretty lucky to have relatives living in Australia, but that's a long shot from my country. To sum it up, I want to ask you guys: What do you think about this situation and where is the best/safest country to emigrate to?

    Which languages do you know?

Also, the populace doesn't decide whether they should send an army to a country based on "whether they heard of it" or not. If you are a member of NATO, you are guaranteed protection.

It takes 16 hours to fly from USA to here. I am very skeptical, so I may be wrong based on the perspective.

I have solid knowledge of English and 1/10 of Russian (damn the school), I know few words from other languages, but for most part, I'm unable to speak in those with detail.

Another point to consider is that just because a country may occupy Latvia, doesn't mean they will kill everyone.

Do you know what the cold war was? Hint: It had no casualties

If you didn't noticed it, the german secretary of state just visited all 3 baltic states assured that the NATO and germany will do something if russia ever attacks those countrys.
Since your english is pretty good and I dont think you speak german (come to me boi :stuck_out_tongue:), you should emigrate to the USA, canada or australia. (put my vote wrong)
If you have relatives in australia, go for it.

It's the winter war (1939-40,). Cold War was after that, it took place in a non-war conflict.

Putin does not wish to start a war with NATO, he knows nobody would win. Everything would go to hell becuse USA suddently starts bombing Russia then Russia revenges then the world goes to chaos.

Come to New Zealand! We are a very peaceful country, no enemy soldiers have ever set foot in our country aside from when European settlers originally conquered the natives. Don't go to Australia, it's got snakes and droughts and Nicole Kidman and aidanmcc.

Pretty sure if Russia were to ever invade other countries by force without warning, there would be a huge war. My list (because you speak english, these are your best bets): Great Britain, Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, maybe Germany, or the Netherlands.
