New prestiges

This seems like a good idea. There are so many prestiges nowadays that being prestige isn't really a reward anymore. I think that the prestige system should work like this:

• Prestige 1 = Lvl 31-60 (default yellow)
• Prestige 2 = Lvl 61-90 (dark green)
• Prestige 3 = Lvl 91+ (black)

For each prestige rank you increase, your tag color should change. This is because 95% of all prestiges are in a clan, so it'll be hard to distinguish what type of prestige you are if you're in a clan (unless you change the tag color).

Yes this would be a good idea, it would differentiate between who has been here for a long time and the people who really haven't. Supported.

When McWar was in it's early days, there were very few people over level 31. I remember being a little noob, and thinking I would never get near level 31. But by and by, here I am at level 86. The server is full of yellow tags. Part of the point of yellow tags were to distinguish the veterans from the new people. Nowadays, level 31 is not considered veteran.

The problem? The use of the yellow tag to distinguish prestige from average player is gone, because the new prestige nowadays is much higher.

The solution? Add some other way to distinguish veterans from new/low leveled players. A couple ways to do that are:

• Raise the prestige level. It can be raised to level 40, 50, 60 etc.
• Keep the current prestige level, but add a new colored tag for a new prestige level. (Like what is being suggested. But too many colors may get confusing.)

I would like this. Until 2.0 comes out, and /profile is added, many people say they're lvl 200 or something like that. I'd like to bust their lies.

 

I like this idea a lot. People will see that I'm lvl 60 and also this can distinguish liars from other truth-tellers.

Instead of calling it 31+2 maybe 55+ or something, because doing 31+ means level 31+, so It would make much more sense to do 55+, but other than that I completely agree

 

I don't see anything wrong with simply having a number next to your name that says "32, 80 or 100". Just having your level next to your name would be a simple solution.
