First-Week Impressions on McWar and Its Community

Well, glad to see you like our servers.

 

My Impressions on MC-War
(I've been playing for a while im level 59)

Pros:
Amazing because it has guns
Nice features
Good maps
Good gamemodes (for the most part)
Overall fun.

Meh:
Community in-game

Cons:
Idk if its my internet, it probably isn't because on other servers I don't lag at all. MC-War is super laggy.
Anti-Spawncamping isn't really doing much
Usually very 1 sided (if you know what i mean)
Higher leveled player almost always have the advantage; beginners rarely even stand a chance in a 1v1 firefight to win against a high level player. I guess this is intended, but it would be nice if it was more balanced.

A few tips for you-

• The AA12 is bad, don't get it. It does little damage, and if you get a kill with it, you will have wasted half your ammo.
• If you stay back (like team support) and aim for the head, I would highly recommend the L118a. It does 9 hearts of damage, and kills in one hit with a headshot. However, don't camp too much, and don't jump around in the open too much either.
• If you can, donate for scavenger. It is the most useful donor item of all. For every kill, you will receive a supply of ammo. (1/4 of your starting ammo back for every kill)
• Skip the Barrett, get the MSR. The Barrett used to be extremely good, but it's pretty bad now. The MSR has a tiny clip, but it has a high firerate, and you have your pistol anyways.
• Don't get the Magnum, stay with the M9. The Magnum is identical to the M9, except you need to reload more, since it only has a 6 round clip.

 

Don't give in to the donating :V

 

It has been getting increasingly harder for newer players get a hang of the servers. When I joined, I was smart and started on Server 10, when there weren't even prestige players back then. Nowadays, there are always powerful players on all servers.

I can tell you never used the aa12 with no recoil v:

 

It really depends on how you play.
On large maps, I tend to use bolt action sniper rifles (L118a, Barrett, Isolator), and semi automatic sniper rifles (Dragunov, MSR, Disassembler) on smaller maps.
The L118a has the high damage (9 hearts) and a pistol shot will easily finish the opponent off, if you didn't headshot him. In addition, it has 64 shots, more than most sniper rifles. However, its slow firerate and small clip will really hurt.
The Dragunov does only 5.5 hearts of damage, but it has that higher firerate. However, it has that small clip, and this sniper rifle only has 32 shots.
As said above, it depends on how you play.

I agree with that first statement.
I used it in gungame, it was still bad :v
But the minigun with no recoil...

 

Who cares if it is better?
Have some fun trying things you never use.

That's great tuger! We're glad your enjoying mc war so much, it's always nice to see someone enjoy it that much. That was nice to read, I feel like your going to do great on the forums and in game.

 

Unless you want to buy every gun, that's a pretty nice accomplishment for a new player.

@Tuggers03, if you need any help with sniping, you can PM me (in my signature). I am not THAT experienced with automatics, but most of what Brawler said is accurate. I would do what he told you to do.
