Building a SDK mod, mind helping me out?

    Yes. I am serious, though I am not going to be the coder. I'm going to make graphics and doing maps, whatever.

    Well, me and like four others is making a SDK mod (If you don't know what SDK is, it is a game engine) and we need some help.. It will be a FPS game called "Ten". A FPS with some variations..

    Well, at every level you will unlock ten different items. Guns, clothes, and everything else.
    Yet I have around 150 items and such, much less 10000 items. There will be 1000 levels. Or actually, there will be 10000 levels, but past level 1000 you won't unlock anything. Every level will cost x1.5 more xp than the last level.

    The point of this thread:
    Suggest any weapons, perks, grenades, clothes, and everything like that.

    EDIT: 10000 items is way to much. We'll say 1000.

    Uh, I'll start off, then.
    I'm thinking of this as similar to a combination between Battlefield and Counterstrike, so I'll suggest perks that could work for both games. They don't have names, though.... (most)
    • No glare when aiming with an optical
    • Flashbang will not affect you as long, and you will not be distracted/blinded by the laser sight and the tactical light for as long
    • Endurance-Run, jump, and do other strenuous activities for longer
    • Recovery-Recovery endurance faster. If there is health regen, you regenerate health faster. If there is none, you will very slowly regenerate health a a rate of 1/20 per second.
    • Stability-More accurate hip fire
    • Able to fire 10% faster
    • Reload times are cut by 20%
    • 35% less recoil from bolt action sniper rifles, 20% less recoil with all other weapons
    • Larger clip (10% more), slightly slower reload
    • More magazines (yes, magazines, not ammo) for weapons (25%)
    • Less spread increase per shot, faster spread decrease after you cease firing

    Thanks for that. Listing them... I have used the CoD wiki and copied a lot of weapons from there.

    I would like to see more Battlefield and Counterstrike weapons and elements, as CoD is so unrealistic. However, that is, of course, up to the coders. With extra time, I could make a super huge list for each type of weapon and such.
    Also....
    Grappling hooks and crossbows for zip lines. Maybe skins/camouflage for each weapon. Will there be vehicles?

    My friend said something about grappling hooks for the crossbows, but he said he would not like any attachments or like that at first.

    We will have vehicles, but those would not be unlocked by the person, but be found at a specific point at the map. And would not respawn.

    I know CoD is unrealistic, but taking weapons from CoD will not make it CoD. I'll be sure to not list many weapons specificly made for CoD. (Raygun, Skullcrusher, Thundergun, etc.)

    Pretty funny fact: When all 10000 things is listed, we are going to use a randomizer program to decide for us what items should be unlocked at what levels before we start adding stats :stuck_out_tongue:
    I just counted the weapons listed. 166 now, and let me add yours..

    It's being built on the Source SDK engine. Steam, of course.

    I am not making the game itself, I'm going to build things inside the game. Though the game is only in the planning stage.

    Wow. Sounds good. :smile: I would help but I can't do graphics and I can't code.
    The only thing I could do to help with this is to see how well it runs on a bad computer. :stuck_out_tongue:

    If you can run Team Fortress 2 you can run this game, since it is built upon the same game engine.

    Lol. Never tried it.
    I'll put it this way, I can run Minecraft between 10-50 FPS in the McWar Lobby, and that is with lowest settings "Particals Minimap, Fast Graphics, lowest render distance etc,) and with optifine. :stuck_out_tongue:

    Then, no chance you can run the game with more than 5 FPS :L

    I don't know at all what the system specs will be. Though we plan a remove particles button and high/medium/low graphic button.
    @BrawlerAce_, before you make a 9001 list of weapons, please note we will not add perks for some reason.

    No perks, alright. It'll be like Counterstrike, Battlefield, or something else then.
    I could make a list of a lot of weapons, but I need to get home first. Give me a bit....

    And yes, we will still add different clothes, bulletproof suits and different tools.

    • instantly kills everyone on the map
    • rate of fire is however long the respawn time is
    • that's all
