Spelling - Mc-War

    When I first started, I was very careful of the reputation I was creating for myself, so I tried my hardest to spell correctly and use educated language to interact with players.

    All I see now is people using slang, and not complete word fuly wen speekin. It makes them seem un-intelligent and I can't take anything they say seriously when they can't take the time to add that extra letter onto their words. It troubles me a lot when someone calls me a hacker or insults me personally, and they don't even have the decency to spell my name right, or any of the things they're trying to communicate.

    I do get kinda OCD about these things sometimes xD. Mostly, 'cause it looks SO bad in chat when they're talking.

    EX:
    "Dude u HAX so bad tri beeng good at war bro"
    "I dont now how 2 do tht"
    "im"

    When people use the word "im" and spell it like that,
    I almost have a neck spasm and die. It annoys me so much that most players are too lazy to make their messages readable by a human being.

    All I say is, when you chat, be aware of the way you speak to people and the reputation you create for yourself. When calling someone a hacker, tell them why and don't just scream at them. When raging at the player, at least spell the aware word correctly. Thanks everyone.

    Well, you can have speak noob language, in game language (slang like), or just simple language (abbreviations). Noob language (as some people here call it sometimes) is when people over think trying to simplify their message with numbers, slang, and incredibly short abbreviations. In game language would be like 'meh', 'yus', 'm8', etc. Simple language is 'ill', 'I'm, etc. I think I got these correct. Maybe this is just how I define them, not to sure. That is what I would classify each of these as.
    The reason people do this is because they feel that they do not need to be formal when they are communicating with each other. On the forums, we use proper grammar and spelling so we can accurately convey our message. When you talk with friends in real life, you will not be fully literate. You will use slang and simple words. I have never used extreme vocabulary with friends, I just see no point. To me, that belongs to writing. Talking in game is that same as in real life with friends.
    Grammar correction intensifying. Should be 'because'. Follow what you say :V.

    I hope you do realize that when I quote your post and you edit it, the quote is the original post. You adding and ' to cause does not show up in my quote with the original post. Nice try... :stuck_out_tongue:

    Using slang makes you look like a 10 year old kid where as if you spell well then people will respect you instead of saying: " 10 hearts gg no re " you say: " GG no need to rematch you noob ".
