    McBrawl Moderator Application:

Are you active and helpful on our servers, forums, and Teamspeak? - Yes; I play at least 4 hours a day total on the forums, servers, and TeamSpeak combined. I try to be helpful when I can, and not hurtful when I can't. McBrawl is a good community, and deserves to have committed and helpful players, and needs to be pruned of bad players, hackers and rule breakers alike.
Approximately, how many rule breaker reports have you submitted? - Around 12-13. I report players for everything from hacked clients to glitching Out-of-map. I've also recently reported a number of players with illegal minimaps, as can be verified by an admin or supermod.

How old are you? - 13 Years Old (14 in August).
What time zone are you in? - Central Standard Time (-6 Hours)
What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? - I've played Minecraft since the 1.7.3 beta came out (Ok, to be honest, I played cracked for a while.). It was an epic new experience for me. I could survive, and build to my heart's content! I would play on survival worlds with mods to enhance gameplay, and I would play with TooManyItems in a "Creative mode" kind of thing. Then, one day, I discovered multiplayer servers. I immediately joined a server (I forget the name). It was the best thing ever. I got to interact with other players and show them my builds! Aside from that, there was a totally new plugin interface called "Bukkit" I learned about. Soon after, my hard drive somehow got wiped, and I dropped Minecraft for a while. Eventually, I decided to give it a try again, and I joined a new server called "AtomicCraft" (now dead) with my brother. I played on that server almost every day, and I loved it like I loved McBrawl (in case you don't know, that's a lot). Eventually, that server went down due to lack of donations, and I searched around a couple months for a new server (after buying premium). After a while, I found a YouTuber named MrJaryd2000, who did prank call videos. I watched some, and I noticed the gun server he played on in the background. I did some research, and found MC-War! It was much better than survival minecraft. I devoted more and more of my time to MultiplayerServers (McBrawl), until I got where I am now.
What is your experience with moderating servers? -

    > Co-Owner/Developer | GamersUnleashed (In-dev): http://i.imgur.com/o6zeAcQ.png
Sorry about the MineSMP one; it only shows me as a trial-moderator. I couldn't find any more recent screenshots.
What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? - If I manage to secure the post of Moderator, the safety of the MC-War servers becomes my top priority. I realize the stress in moderating servers, and I believe I will be able to handle it. I will do my best to catch and handle rule breakers and/or hackers, and I will try to answer the questions any new players might have. I will deal with spammers, and kick/ban rule breakers in accordance to the proper way to deal with the offense they've committed. Being an effective moderator takes a huge amount of effort, and I'm ready to begin the tedious work of moderating a mass server.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I'm sorry to say this, but yes. I've used a hacked client before when I was new to multiplayer. I'd seen videos of it, and hacking looked fun and easy. A few months of experience proved me wrong. I haven't touched a hacked client ever since 1.2.5, which was a long time ago. That was when my friend persuaded me to take down a few servers (unsuccessfully, I'm happy to say) using lag. I solemnly swear I would never use a hacked client, expecially not on an McBrawl server. To say the least, I'm not a joeymast99.
Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? - Yes, but not for a good reason. I've only been banned because someone was mad at me and banned me in rage, or hackusated (falsely accused me of hacking).

How active do you consider yourself in-game? - 8/10; I play for as much as 3-4 hours a day, but recently, I've been receiving inhumane amounts of homework, and cannot play as much (maybe 1-2 hours a day). Hopefully, this limit will be eliminated very soon, when summer break starts. I play mostly on Mc-War, but I've been getting into a little Survival PvP lately, and a little bit of Mc-WarZ never hurts either.
How active do you consider yourself on TS3? - 3-4/10; I never was a fan of joining the McBrawl TS3, but I've been trying to get my activity up recently, joining whenever I play War (if possible). Personally, I prefer a text-based chat for communication, but TeamSpeak 3 is a good alternative when you need to talk to someone without the interruption of typing or formulating words.
How active do you consider yourself on the forums? - 8/10; I lurk around the forums for anywhere between 1-4 hours a day, constantly checking the alert counter, and responding to questions people may have in the shoutbox. I even go so far as to use Tapatalk, and secretly checking the forums during the school day whenever I have access to a computer (I think the study hall teacher is getting suspicious :V).
What do you consider your greatest strength? - My ability to recognize hacks and illegal mods; having the whole source code of Minecraft at your hands is very convenient, as you can look through and see what people CAN do, and what they CAN'T using vanilla Minecraft. I've caught hackers in this way before, using a good knowledge of the code as backup for when I'm looking for hackers. I can also (usually) tell if someone is using illegal mods, such as a minimap by the way they behave. I can sipmly watch them for a number of seconds, and it's pretty obvious they have some additional features helping them gain a slight advantage over other players. It also helps that my recording software is contiuously running, so whenever an instance of this happens, I can simply hit a key combination, and I'm already gathering proof for a report I'm going to make later.
What do you consider your greatest weakness? - My quick temper; if someone is far too stubborn, and simply refuses to acknowledge his use of illegal mods or his breaking of the rules no matter how much proof I present to them, I can easily get mad at them, and start acting somewhat dark. I might under certain circumstances quit the game in a fit of annoyance-induced rage, but that's the most that's ever happened in the event of a total mental breakdown (no perma-banning streaks, I'm happy to say). Fortunately, I usually manage to keep this under control and out of the way of any further duties I might have in the apprehension of rule breakers.

How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? - I would give them a verbal warning, stating not to do it again, and that if they did, there would be consequences. Then I might message them a friendly request to read the rules, just to insure that they definitely know they're doing something wrong if they do it again.
How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time? - I would carry out punishment proportional to the person's history. If he's a new player that's somewhat clueless, I would give another, more solid verbal warning, stating that there would be severe consequences next time. If he's a player that looks like he should know the rules, or has a history of abuse and/or irritation, then I would kick them from the server with a warning not to do it again, or there'd be much more severe consequences.
How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time? - I would immediately take the appropriate action without warning, whether that be tempbanning them for continual spamming, or reporting them for using an illegal player-showing minimap. The duration of the tempban would depend on the situation at hand.

What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums? - I would acknowledge my mistake, and take it as an oppertunity to learn that I'm not always right. I'm not the type to start raging and holding grudges over a simple discussion where I've been proven wrong about something.
What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums? - It depends on whether they've done it before or not. If they haven't, I would send them a PM telling them what they've done wrong, why it's wrong, a warning not to do it again, and a link to the forum rules thread, with a message telling them to "please, read it". However, if the offense was more serious, such as advertising or phishing (it's happened before), I would immediately PM a super-mod and/or admin, and I may or may not delete the post depending on the situation at hand.
When would you lock a thread? - I would lock a thread when:
    > The question the original poster asked is answered sufficiently and satisfyingly.
    > The thread has turned into a flame/troll war.
    > The thread has strayed off-topic so much, the new topic doesn't even relate to the thread's original content.
    > The thread is in direct violation of a forum rule (I would also take action against the poster, and possibly PM a supermod/admin).
    > The thread's creator has requested the thread to be locked.
    > The thread is completely pointless, or is a spam thread.
    > The thread already exists in a different form (I would also include a link to the other thread).
    > The thread was grave-dug.

Describe yourself in 3 words: Friendly, Experienced, Devoted
Anything else we should know about you? - I might seem a bit young for a staff member, but I guarantee you, I am mature (contrary to the age stereotypes generated by the other immature 13-year olds applying for mod).
Situation: A player is out of the map on MC-WAR. What are the steps that you would take to ensure that this player and situation is properly dealt with? - FIrst, I would inform him that he is outside the map, and either ask him to go back in-bounds, or the exit the match. If he doesn't oblige, I give him a stronger warning, and tell him there will be consequences if he doesn't comply. If he still refuses to follow my direction, I would kick him in accordance to the rules of the server.
Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work? - I know most of the powers a moderator has, including changing the map via a command, and tempbanning players. Of course, I also know all the commands a normal player has access to.
Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away? - Yes. McBrawl cannot afford to have abusive staff.

    So, what do you think?

    Thanks for considering,
    ~ Phanta

This is the main part that make me doubt you a little. Acting rude to a player is not good, and rage quitting isn't, either.
Still, you do seem quite mature. You barely snag the +1 from me. If you can keep your temper under control like you have been ingame, on the forums, TS, etc. you should be good to go.

Here we go: This is a good app, although it lacks length it makes up for it in the quality of whats actually being said here. You also have a sufficient amount of posts; the majority of which are helpful and benefit the community. Your client for War/Z has also made you extremely popular here, and I get the feeling that a lot of people are going to turn a blind eye on some of your flaws because of this. I have also seen you on the TS server from time to time, and you seem to be active enough in all required areas.

Like @BrawlerAce said, this could be a problem in the future if you're having a bad day or something has gone wrong for you. But as long as you manage to keep this under control then you have my +1

    Best of luck,
    -Mrcowlick

You are certainly very honest in your application, and you don't hide anything. My take on these things is when someone is completely honest it's because they believe that the truth won't be a problem. Regarding the temper thing, most people I know wouldn't have even mentioned it if they thought it would be a problem. I know you a bit on skype, and I see you on the Teamspeak as well. You are very intelligent and mature, therefore it's a +1 from me.

You seem like a mature and active person, your application is good and you have already been staff on 3 other servers.
