A simple solution for an old age problem: Hackusators

It goes through, just not to public chat.
So other players won't see it.

 

What if we say "No one hacks" or something?
Or, "Hacks are not allowed on the server"
There's a major problem, already.

Well we could use some common sense that hacking isn't allowed on any server.

 

Your idea seems good but I don't know if it's code able. I know you can replace a key word by another. For instance: if a player says " hacker " in chat it can be replaced by any another word.

 

Then they'll just say "hac.ks" to bypass

 

I feel like this would be over censoring. Blocking swear words is fine, but this is blocking words that aren't even that offensive. Plus, if there is an actual hacker on, and an admin wants you to tell them if there is a hacker on (example: when NoCheatPlus went down for a bit because of a 1.7 code update, and Putty was banning fly hackers), that would be a problem. In addition, bypass.

The Idea to send an automated message to the player is quite a wonderful idea. But what's to stop people from typing a space or some other character between the letters in the word? (Such as HA'CKS?)

I really don't mind this problem like most people since it was mentioned a lot on the forums. Just take everything they say lightly so it doesn't become a nuisance.

 

True, it can actually be pretty funny at times. :3

 

What if it kicks you if you try to bypass it? :v

 

There are too many ways to bypass it, and it would be like censorship.
