Question: I have seen people talking about something called the "Mercy Rule" in game. My question is: What is the Mercy Rule? Is it an actual rule? A joke? or something.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Good question. I've never heard of the Mercy Rule before, so I don't know what it is. I haven't seen it prior to the discussion thread talking about TDM auto-end.

I have compiled a list of what I could find with a Google search "Mercy Rule".

The term "Mercy Rule" may refer to
    • The Slaughter Rule- A 2002 film
    • Sports term to describe where a team has a great disadvantage over the other.
    • A rock band.
The term which is used in Mc-War would be most likely to be the 2nd definition. This may refer to when all of the "elite" players and/or clans are grouped together against an inexperienced team.

Maybe it has to do with the numbers of players on each team and depending on the score the game might end sooner if the larger team is in the lead... It probably doesn't make sense to you but for me yes.

A mercy rule is pretty simple: When one team is winning by a certain amount, it ends the game because it is obviously unfair. For example, if one team has more than three times the score of the other, it will end the game no matter what the kill count is.

You can see an example here

Actually i have heard people talk about this. Its when a team has way more kills then the other team and the game just ends.

To sum it all up, when one team has a huge advantage over the other, the round just ends, to spare mercy to the other team. I think you got the rest.
Locked, as the question has been answered. Feel free to PM me if you think I locked this in error.
