Mods who don't play

@Mrcowlick wasn't demoted, he had some issues and then he decided to just resign. People might say he was demoted.

 

I was wondering why in the world he would get demoted xD

 

Ok I'm going to keep it simple: moderates are human people.
They are like you and me, they have a family, problems, a social life, priorities, things to do, go out and having a different timezones.
The moderators cannot be always on, Minecraft is not a top priority, it is a hobby/whatever to want it to be. They are not going to able to be there all the time, they have a life.

 

It was not a demotion. Putty approached me and we talked about something's, and I came to the decision to resign earlier that I was originally going to.

Anyway with the little amount of warZ moderators there are it is a bit unfair to say that they are not active, you might just not be on the server they are on...

 

We are in fact looking into new methods of making it easier for mods to report hackers.
I think any comments similar to "Moderators do nothing" are comments of pure stupidity.

Statements such as this are just ridiculiuos... We track our moderators activity every month, we'd be first to know if they are inactive.

WarZ obviously lacks staff members, but if there is/was anyone who is capable of doing this job, they either are/have been staff members. Last good mods I met were GK, game and Peas (before he became S-mod). Currently, I don't like the situation with staff, I mean, you expect a squad of 4 hippies to moderate a ghetto server which is full of criminals? I mean, Venom and Sig do the job, but I don't have an opinion about the rest. And I do understand that staff plays with hackers in some occasions (actually pretty often), we have some staff which is not the brightest.


I am an exception. It was because of my past.

 

Thank you for the compliment, but don't count @rainywolvess and @Mario out. They are both very active as well, putting the communities needs before their own. Sure, the WarZ community can be rather hostile at times, but we are all experienced Moderators, and take pride in what we do. Although we may be a small group of 4, there will be more good Moderators to come. I am going to start dedicated most of my time towards WarZ for the time being, because that is where we lack most authority as of now, so expect to see myself online rather frequently.

 

I see Mario on at least on 2 servers each day.

 

WarZ mods are active, the one that wasn't was demoted (not Cowlick). Anyways, mods do their best here. If you don't them on game, maybe they are doing something in real life. A moderator's whole life isn't dedicated to moderating.

 

They may be active in game but they can't do much... Hackers can be online at the same time as a staff member and hack all they want but they spam once and they get punished.

I have yet to even see him myself.

The reason behind that is because we are actually able to see the chat and do something, whereas we are likely to not be where the said hacker is. Due to that, we are not able to witness them.

 

That's why mods should be able to tp when a player asks.

 

All of the mods are active but usually they play on one server all together. For instance yesterday on server two @rainywolvess @Mario and @VforVenom were all playing together. I don't think its wrong but i feel that the warz operating system should be like war's. On war i think it is one mod per server, so if Publicenemy's on one major_majora would go on two. Also the one qualified person to become a warz mod in my opinion is @ehvahn. Luckypop is a maybe.

 

I definitely have noticed luckypop changing. We all know he posts a ton of hacker reports and doesn't hack if you are subscribed to him.

 

The "One mod per server' rule is actually a rule we use on all of our servers, not just on War, however, the MC-War moderators do seem to stick by it very well.

 

It's almost the opposite for MC-WarZ... If one mod is on a server the others online must be with him it seems.
